Boeing Board Member David Calhoun is stepping into the CEO job. For doing that job, Calhoun will earn a salary of $1.4 million, plus a $7 million bonus if and when the Max is recertified and other benchmarks are met. In all, he could earn nearly $30 million with all the stock options, incentives and bonuses Boeing is offering.

This is why some people want a real estate business person in the oval office - to not care about people.

Doesn't matter.

A band aid will be slapped on so he can claim his $7 million and boost the "value" of his stocks to maximize output if he's busted too.

Nothing meaningful will change. Our version of "capitalism" is pure sociopathy and a few hundred people dying to make your fortune is considered "success" in 'Murica!.

Oh come on... Original title was so much better. They are giving Mullenburg 62 million!!! They should be collecting from him.

I wonder if Liz complains when a MLB or NBA player signs a big contract and the proceeds to do nothing? Plenty of that going on in Sports. Big business is just like professional sports. You have to pay to get the top talent and put them under contract. And just like sports, you have CEO's (the pro athletes of business) who don't deliver. You still have to pay the contract though.

How many hundreds of people did Michael Jordan kill?...

Apparently quite a few....

We like Michael Jordan. We think he is a good guy. He made us feel good with his basketball prowess. He also seems to be a really nice individual. Any company Michael Jordan represents surely acts like Michael Jordan does.

SOOO...How could Michael Jordan endorse slave and child labor? The situation is so bad that the production facilities have been subjected to four strikes in the last 12 months. I thought Michael Jordan was a Christian guy. He has kids. Would he want his children working in sweatshops?

Nike, a true success story, makes profits by using sweatshops and child labor. Their human rights abuses have been well documented over the past four years. Currently Nike is in a major public relations campaign designed to clean its tainted image. They say they have made great progresses but have a strict policy of paying market wages instead of paying a living wage. They also admit that their facilities, in communist Vietnam, use child labor.

Which, of course, is just another word for slavery...

LOL Jesus H that's pretty stupid.

If an athlete doesn't perform as expected nothing happens.

The Boeing CEO's actions led to the deaths of hundreds of people.

You righties are so absurd in your devotion to our completely farked up economic system you've lost all perspective and rational thought.

Totally different. He created the culture in which these events happened. He is directly responsible for the decline of the organization and the loss to stock holders.
