President Donald Trump made a striking claim Monday, insisting it was he who ensured that people with preexisting medical problems will always be covered by health insurance. He wasn't.

He's doing his best to exactly the opposite of what he promised his supporters he would do but they are too dumb to even understand it. I'm just sorry but how can they expect the rest of us to respect them when they are that God damned stupid? They resent condescension but then they do things like this to encourage condescension. Millions will lose healthcare, for others their pre-existing conditions will basically lock them out of healthcare, then what can they do? Oh, they usually impoverish themselves by transferring assets to their kids and then become eligible for SS disability and Medicare. So, the taxpayer ends up with the bill anyway. Hopefully though, in the time it takes to do all that they don't become terminal which I suspect is the dirty little secret Trump and his allies have known all along. They honestly do believe in Congrssman Grayson's take on Republican Health Care Plan. "Don't get sick, if you do get sick, die quickly."

TRUMP: "I was the person who saved Pre-Existing Conditions in your Healthcare."

I reiterate: Dear American voters, believe this lie at your own peril.

Fuhrer first. Volk second.

He either a) doesn't know what his administration is doing or b)knows and blatantly is lying.

Either way he is unfit to be President.

Millions will lose healthcare,

It's the lower middle class that will lose it, so Trampers are fine with that.

@itsJeffTiedrich
right now some Deplorable with a persistent cough is driving a crappy car on crumbling roads past abandoned storefronts to a low-paying job and pumping his fist and going "hell yeah!" as he hears on wingnut radio about how Trump wants the Supreme Court to gut Obamacare

Immortan Don needs to be careful here.

After all, he IS a preexisting condition.

Trump has to keep as many of the Gullibles on his side as possible until Election Day, after which--if reelected--he can stop lying. If those Gullibles see the light about just one or two lies told to them by Tanned Tommy Flanagan between now and then, Trump is toast. Any GOPer coming after Trump will then be toast, when the lies are washed away and the Gullibles realize how badly they have been conned...

How many names on the Vietnam Memorial Wall are there because they took the place of people like Trump with his "bone spurs?"

His idiot supporters will believe it without question and will regurgitate some version of this lie in the coming months as election season heats up.

Count on it.

Pre-existing condition protection existed long before ACA.

Do any of you understand that?

I mean....if you're going to whine about others ignorance.....

That's not the experience of many I know or read about.

of course not. look at where you spend your time and what you want to be told.

But....protection for a pre-existing condition has existed for those who've had coverage for many years prior to ACA.

ACA expanded it to include an open enrollment period with a pre-existing condition protection even for those who've gone without coverage prior to application....hence why the mandate was supposed to be implemented. It seemed logical that if we were going to force insurance companies to take sick people and cover them (the equivalent of insuring a house on fire) then a mandate to purchase coverage was necessary.

Yes, Trump is lying...or at least I haven't bothered to determine if he's not lying...I won't waste my time.

Republicans don't believe in Facts. They believe in Trump's Twitter.

Of course he is lying. Don't waste your time. It's blatant and obvious.

Painfully so. There should be no doubt in your mind. Pre-existing conditions existed before trump began his crusade of lies. But they were not covered by law until the ACA. Trump has actively been trying to undermine and destroy the ACA since before he was elected. With no plan for any realistic replacement plan. For no good reason except his hate of Obama, of course.

15,000 plus lies and counting.

"Pre-existing condition protection existed long before ACA."

Only if you never broke coverage. Otherwise, your PEC landed you in a high-risk pool. For reference, my wife's best friend couldn't get coverage for less than 5k a month before O'Care, due to her breast cancer.

I've always tried to keep health insurance apolitical, but this is a bridge too far. Trump has been slashing the legs from Obamacare since day one; it's long since been Trumpcare.

"Only if you never broke coverage."

Exactly. And the ACA required them to be covered by Law. Which the insurance companies hate.

Which took away a major tool from the insurance companies that they used to deny coverage or charge an outrageous amount that effectively denied coverage. And so now they are using Humpy as trump their new tool. And what a tool he is!

This is just more gaslighting by the Liar-in-Chief. The LIC.

Or the Denier-in-Chief. The DIC.

"Pre-existing condition protection existed long before ACA."

Sorrym, that's simply not true for the vast majority of people who had pre-existing conditions. Obamacare was, literally, a life saver for many of them.

Only if you never broke coverage."

exactly...I can't remember exactly but in Kansas it was something like "6 out of the past 12 months with continuous coverage"
