The two things that are interesting to me is China's removal of barriers to agricultural products (as opposed to merely agreeing to buy more) and the unilateral enforcement mechanism which allows the US to enact punitive measures if complaints remain unresolved.

There is obviously still a lot of work to be done regarding state owned enterprises and but this should be viewed as a victory for American farmers, especially in light of the spread of African Swine Fever throughout Asia.

Whatever happened with the impending recession and global financial collapse?

Has anyone heard anything more about it?

Trump creates crisis; many months of debt and higher consumer prices follow, then starts a cautious step in returning to where we were before he manufactured a crisis, and Rightaboutnothing crows how it is good news and pwning the libs. You idiots are a real piece of work.

Tell the clowns to stop getting their freak on and there will be nothing for her to show.

BTW The the US is not the only nation capable of producing agricultural goods... Trump has pushed the US over the top towards the downhill slide back into economic irrelevance... you know like we were 80 years ago before we exploited war-ravaged nations to let us "help rebuild". 5 years prior to that Americans were begging on the streets... like the growing number of beggars that are lining the streets do now. Here we call them homeless there we call them beggars.

You pigs are stupid stupid stupid.

The beginning phase of these trade deals sound good. And I like the way Trump is slowly and cautiously implementing them.

I said over a year ago China would be the one to blink since they have a lot more to lose than the US.

This is something the last four presidents should have done.

"Trump creates crisis;

#6 | POSTED BY E1G1"

The Chinese trade issues, intellectual property theft, dumping steel, etc. have been going on for decades. Trump had nothing to do with it. Get that jerking left knee under control, would you?

Please illuminate us on how this partial trade treaty is SOOOOOOOOO much better than the last one.

guess what you can't... because it isn't.

China buys time with this... kicking Trumplethinskin's fat orange can down the road.

China plays the long game. They could have bought us off ages ago.

This deal is a pittance. But at least it is going in the right direction for a change.

Gotta love how Humpy creates a crisis and then solves it and the deplorables cheer!

Fracking Maroons.

Buy more? You mean make up for what they haven't bought in the last several years now that prices have dropped for US AG products?

And a unilateral enforcement mechanism? The US could declare the agreement violated and place tariffs again. There is little nothing stopping China from placing tariffs too at that point.

We have LITERALLY returned to the quid pro quo on Ag products.

We just suffered through years of tariffs decimating farmers and manufacturers...and now are going back to the previous purchasing levels...maybe...after the prices for many AG products dropped.

Yeah all those bankrupt farmers are REALLY happy, right? And the ones still around lost years of income only to get a portion of that back now.

Face it: The Chinese won. Trump caved.

Hello Goat and welcome back before your next suspension.
Trump has done NOTHING YET about intellectual property theft or human rights issues involving China. I can't speak to dumping of steel, but the steel industry here is not improving, in spite of Trump's lies to the contrary. Any other -------- you want to post during your unemployment? If I'm going to live in your head, I expect to pay an appropriate rent. Here's a dollar. Can't wait for your next reply so's I can pay rent again.

#17 | POSTED BY E1G1...

Um, he has. That was one of the big sticklers in the trade war. There were concessions on that with this treaty. That is what this article is about, Einstein. Read it before resonding.

...but the steel industry here is not improving...

Treaty was just signed yesterday. You expect improvements in a few hours time?

If I'm going to live in your head...

???

I replied to a post of yours, and the only one in months in fact. You call that living in my head? LOL Get over yourself.
