Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

"I think you called me a liar on national TV," Warren told Sanders on stage, according to audio captured by CNN. Sanders responded, "You know, let's not do it right now. If you want to have that discussion, we'll have that discussion." Warren replied: "Anytime." That appeared to have irked Sanders who then said: "You called me a liar."

I know she's desperate, but this was really stupid of Warren and her campaign. A large group of people, who wouldn't have voted based on gender either way, have probably decided they will not vote for a woman in this election cycle. Because of this stupid, cynical stunt she pulled.

Warren said. "I think the best way to talk about who can win is by looking at people's winning record. So, can a woman beat (President) Donald Trump? Look at the men on this stage: Collectively, they have lost 10 elections. The only people on this stage who have won every single election that they've been in are the women."

Such a good preplanned comment.

Not really. Lyin' Liz threw out this unprovable charge and CNN is treating like it was true. That's how slander works. The MSM will do her dirty work for her, and she gets to play the victimhood card once again.

Many in the MSM are calling her out for her BS, and covering Michael Moore's comments that she's helping Trump by doing this.

Warren's campaign has devolved from "I've Got A Plan for That" to "Girls Rule, Boys Drool!"

I found this to be quite interesting. Here I was at home thinking that Bernie the Bolshevik was stating the obvious and then I hear her say this. It doesn't take a psychic to understand

that these two are pots and kettles.

Have a nice day !

Sanders Supporters Shocked to Find Bias at CNN
Did these people actually believe the cable network was in the news business?

"Rolling Stone's Matt Taibbi tweeted, "This is an unusually vile performance by CNN." The Nation's Elie Mystal raged, "Jesus Christ I hate these biased questions from the moderators. How would you keep your plan from bankrupting the country?' JUST ASK THE KOCH BROTHERS TO MODERATE NEXT TIME!" HuffPost's Zach Carter griped about CNN's post-debate panel discussion, "CNN's crew is just straight bashing Sanders post-debate." The New Republic's Libby Watson whined, "CNN is truly a terrible influence on this country."

Hmm ... Where have we heard that before? Oh, that's right. Conservatives have been making the same point for decades, only to be sneered at by progressives who insisted that such claims were conspiracy theories. In reality, it has long been obvious that CNN operates more like the PR department for the Democratic National Committee (DNC) than a legitimate news outlet."

Its not these idiots its only Warren she is the one who made the B.S. accusation not Bernie he just said I didnt say that.

Its more the obvouse Warren lied since Bernie asked her to run for pres in 2015 and have said woman can be president since the 1980's.

Warren was at one time my 2nd choice now as far as I care she can go to hell

#19 | Posted by PunchyPossum at 2020-01-16 03:59 PM | Reply

I don't understand why Bernie doesn't just say something like "i recall Trump using sexism to his advantage in 2016, and i'd hate to see that happen again, but i'd gladly vote for a woman and think anyone on this stage can beat Trump, the biggest POS in history."

Is it really any harder than this? How many consultants is he paying to mishandle this?

#20 | Posted by JOE at 2020-01-16 04:17 PM | Reply

And as to Warren, if this conversation actually happened, and if she cared one iota about it (two very big ifs), she wouldn't have bottled it up until a couple weeks before Iowa where Bernie leads the polls. She's exposed herself as a ------- and while i'd vote for her over Trump, she has 0% chance of converting me or anyone else leaning Bernie.

That's basically what he's said, at least offstage, about this.

There's a difference between "I don't think a woman can win" and "I don't think one of you women will win."

Joe: Funny thing is, I have a 180 degree opposite view of the whole interaction from you. My annoyance is wholly aimed at Sanders. Which made me realize the pointlessness of this whole divisive episode. For good reason right wingers are trying to keep this story alive and churning. From here on out, I am not going to take sides in this scuttlebutt. Both candidates are liberals who I will gladly support if they get the nomination. They both are experienced professional politicians who each know exactly what they are doing.

#25. They are mostly dividing the same pool of primary Supporters. This is what I think they should do: Announce a Sanders/Warren ticket with Sanders committing to not run for a second term. Unless one of them drops out they split the far left vote in the primary and all-but guarantee a Biden victory. What's worse is they are going to have their campaigns disrupted by impeachment at the worst possible time.

#27 | Posted by JeffJ at 2020-01-16 06:03 PM | Reply

#27 By at worst making this story up, or at best bottling it up for over a year until she needed it politically, Warren has proven she has no intention of being second to Sanders. It's a pipe dream that they's announce joint ticket now.

Warren saw her poll numbers sagging and tried to pull the vagina card... my girlfriend spotted it immediately.
If Warren and Bernie teamed up they could pull 40% and sweep this thing.. but instead they will push Biden to the front through a circular firing squad.

Even if he said a woman cant be elected, that's not the same as saying a woman SHOULDNT be president. It's more a statement about how sexist the country is.

The fact that warren is trying to use this to portray him as a sexist pushes me towards bernie's side.

It's kind of peculiar how she remembered that Bernie Sanders in a raging misogynist a day before the debate and 2 weeks before the Iowa Caucus.

That's how they say it went though.

Remembering it made her so mad that she couldn't shake hands with him,,, in a room where she knew the cameras were rolling.

Does anyone actually believe Bernie is a misogynist? If he did say this, it was out of honesty. Why skewer him for that.

99% of the -------- that comes out of his mouth is utter garbage. I don't why people would be focusing in on this. It's not like he said he's never vote for a woman as president.

some of the many lie's of Liz

Claiming for years on government forms that her race was "American Indian"
When a mother accused her of having sent her children to private schools, insisting her children "went to public schools" when one of them actually did go to private school
Claiming to support Medicare For All but then, when criticized for it, backing off it completely and promising to pass something else
Claiming that only billionaires would pay more under her Medicare For All plan, when that wasn't true
Allowing Harvard Law School to claim her as its first "woman of color"
Claiming that a DNA test supported the contention that she was an American Indian, then deleting the evidence she had done this
Claiming to have been the first nursing mother to take the New Jersey bar, then when asked for evidence, saying that she "was making a point about the very serious challenges she faced."
Telling a dubious story about her grandparents having to elope because of discrimination
Saying she was "not political" in her younger years when she was in fact a "diehard conservative" Republican
Claiming recipes she copied word for word from the New York Times were ancient Cherokee family dishes
Pretending that she was releasing a health-care plan that did not raise middle class taxes
Claiming to have "created the intellectual foundation" for Occupy Wall Street
Criticizing the revolving door between the banking sector and government despite personally putting bankers in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau

I think your life of sitting on the third-party sidelines signals your smug complacency with the status quo, which today is a vote of confidence in Trump.

Bernie is the left's trump - socialism for the working class, whereas trump wants socialism just for the rich.
