The White House budget office violated the law when it froze U.S. military aid to Ukraine, the Government Accountability Office concluded in a new report.

Who could have predicted that Donald Trump is willing to violate the law?

"Well, when the president does it, that means that it is not illegal."

So, IOW, it was a crime. Too bad this wasn't included in the impeachment articles. Because, from the sounds of it, no Republicans are interested in hearing any evidence beyond what was provided in the House impeachment inquiry. You know, the cherry picked and obstructed version of the truth.

The cover up infects the Senate.

So, IOW, it was a crime.

No, there are no penalties, criminal or otherwise, for violating the statute. www.law.cornell.edu

As the GAO report notes, the President would violate the "take care clause" by not complying with the statute.

Nobody knew withholding aid was so complicated!

The law is an ass.

So the defense is that the hostage was eventually released so it was not a kidnapping?

Impeachment is not limited to crimes for which there is a specified punishment, the fact that is a crime is sufficient to find the President guilty of breaking the law and remove him from office. Hey, I know the Republican traitors in the Senate won't do what should be done but, mark my words, let him off the hook on this he will do far worse in the future, whether that future includes the next four years or not.

No question, Danni. No amount of evidence, impartial finding, legal opinion or admission will ever convince his flock that Trump has done anything wrong. He will continue to break laws and ethical rules because that's who he is, and the gullible fools who support him will continue to say it's all a hoax.

This conclusion is wrong because everything Trump did was perfect.

Can't we just get Trump to shoot someone on Fifth Avenue? Or beat a goose to death on the golf course? Or cheat on his wife? Members of the GOP must have SOME moral threshold not to be crossed...

I kinda feel bad for all the bleating Trumptards who got on the bandwagon a few years back and are still clutching it as it is hurtling downhill, without brakes, into a gaping tarn of fetid excrement because they absolutely refuse to believe their pristine political judgement could have somehow been so completely flawed and erroneous. I must admit, back in mid-2016 I found Trump agreeable because I felt he would destroy the GOP (which he effectively has) as well as bring a breath of fresh air into the Washington "swamp" but I quickly realized (fortunately before the election) that he was just going to bring in a different shade and smell of the same pile of ----. The only thing he ever did right was keeping Hillary out of the White House but the price has been steep. But I also believe the pus must be brought to the surface and drawn out before any change can be affected and Trump and his cult of stupidity is certainly doing that-- on BOTH sides.

That's the perfect analogy.

Nerf, don't feel bad for us. Feel bad for all of America that Trump was, and still is, the best choice for president.

No patriotic American would ever say that a traitor was the best choice for America. The evidence of his being a traitor is right there for anyone who cares to see but his sychophantic cult members reject any evidence of the true nature of their Savior.

RE #15

Feel bad for all of America that someone in America is stupid enough and ignorant enough and self centered enough to believeTrump was, and still is, the best choice for president.

And pray for us all and may the Gawds be merciful to us.

Where is the Hypocrisy Accountability Office? That would be much more useful and helpful to the country than the GAO. Case in point...

Yet time and time and time and time again historic articles are presented that show Obama did most of the same things Trump is doing today. Yet partisan hate-filled people choose to ignore it for whatever reason. We truly need an HAO office to help with this national crisis.

But... but... but... what about Obama!!!?

Here is a clue for you!

Obama was not impeached. And never will be. Trumpy is impeached. Now and forever. And may become the first President impeached twice! Don't bother with your whataboutisms and even try to compare Obama to Trumpy. They are not realistic or even in the same ballpark. Much less the same league.

Can't you just wait to see Humpy after his Presidency is over? What kind of life will that be? What a horrible person he has become. While Obama is out windsurfing and taking off his shirt and showing off his tan Humpy will spend his retirement in the courts.

Humpy will be whining about all his pending court cases and his Mexican judges until his tiny two sizes too small black Kentucky fried heart finally and mercifully gives out.

"Nerf, don't feel bad for us"

I can't help it, especially since the local humane society doesn't yet accept hopelessly infected Trumptards for possible adoption or eventual euthanization.

Utter nonsense and I have responded to some of your posts trying to make that case and I was able to show quite well the fallacies that your attempts to paint Obama with the same guilt as Trump have completely failed to do. Your claim that Obama did most of the same things Trump is doing is simply a pathetic lie. But I'm not surprised, the President lies all the time so why wouldn't his supporters do as he does? Of course you do, that is your idea of patriotism. Very distorted but I suspect sincerely believed because of years of propaganda channel exposure.

How about some good news? No casualties to Americans when Iran responded to the assassination of their military leader. Yay!

Oh wait, that was another lie, wasn't it?

It's he does, it's what his supporters do. It's what the propaganda network does. Everything about right wing America is based on lies. Some members of the right are too stupid to know it, then some suspect but aren't sure and then there is the leadership which knows it is true but also know that their supporters will never call them on it.

Democrats: Biden was correct to withhold funds from Ukraine until corrupt investigator removed.

Same Democrats: Trump is bad to withhold funds until it knows if Ukraine is corrupt, and how the money will be spent.

LOL

Let me know what the GAO thinks about Bidens withholding, or if they even care.

Lol

They don't care. It was not a crime.

Let us know when you figure out that one is a crime and the other is not.

It's a crime to withhold funds approved by Congress in order to force a foreign country to pretend to investigate your political rival in order to undermine an American election and out our national security at risk for trumps personal benefit.

It is not illegal to withhold funds to prevent corrupt uses of that money.

This President is acting like a mob boss.

Which is of course why he has been impeached. Now and forever.

Everybody knows Trump willfully broke the law. And that supporters of the GOP simply do not care. There is nothing complex about right wing cynicism.

Oh Mackris, always the liar.

If Trump withheld funds because of corruption, that's one thing.

But...
1. It wasn't for corruption. It was for an investigation of Biden. No other alleged corruption. No other companies.
2. They had to announce the investigation into Biden, not actually do it.
3. And the announcement was about the investigation into Biden, not the company, not other companies, not government officials, not other corruption.

If it was for Corruption, why are they bringing up ONLY Biden.

Mackris, you are a lying partisan hack.

Please provide context for each of those actions. Cherry-picking random, ummmm, facts does not a case present.

A Nice Try, though.
