After Speaker Pelosi signed the articles of impeachment she handed out multiple pens to the smiling impeachment managers. Minutes later on CNN, Dana Bash and Nia-Malika Henderson criticized the ceremony and said it had a dissonant tone.

Bash said, "We are used to seeing signing ceremonies, handing out pens at moments of celebration, when a president is signing legislation, when even the House sends over a landmark piece of legislation. It was unusual to see that kind of ceremony and handing out the pens and smiling for a picture in this kind of situation where the Speaker has bent over backwards to say publicly and privately this is somber, this is not a time for celebration."

Henderson agreed it was "jarring" and "off-message," saying, "You heard Pelosi say that this is a sad and tragic day, and then there she is holding up the pen and having photographs taken with those pens, so it is a little off-message for somebody who has tried to set a very serious tone."

It was a "sober" moment, said Pelosi, after finishing off a bottle of chardonnay and handing out gold pens. What a doddering old fool.

If you watch the video, Mad Maxine is not only smiling but waving her pen for the camera.

Pretty amazing that even CNN is calling this "jarring".

Somber Impeachment Ceremony Concludes With The Impeachment Dancers

WASHINGTON, D.C.--It was a somber day for the U.S., as House Democrats formalized the impeachment of President Donald Trump. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi took seven solemn hours to sign the articles of impeachment with 582 custom pens on silver trays before she sent them over to the Senate. As the articles were handed over, the Impeachment Dancers entered the room, marking the dark day with a well-choreographed dance number accented by a tasteful amount of pyrotechnics.

"It is gravely serious to accuse the president of high crimes and misdemeanors," Pelosi said as dancers gyrated behind her. "And we do this reluctantly and with a heavy heart."

After the ceremony and the dance number concluded, Democratic leaders all had a moment of silence to reflect on the gravity of their undertaking, the only sound now being the making of impeachment balloons by the Impeachment Clowns there to entertain the children.

An inflammatory choice of pens. Shaped like bullets.

That was unprofessional of her. It's supposed to be a somber time. Not one of celebration. Leave that for private quarters.

I couldn't agree more.

But ROC, you give tongue baths for Trump and his phluffers who smash the 'presidential professional' standards in each and every case reported.
