@#2 ... Live from Daryl's house ...

That was a good show. It is still in reruns on one of the MTV channels.

I like the visits of Joe Walsh and Rob Thomas.

Great shows.

Like a rolling stone ...

That is The Most Amazing version of that song I've heard.

I still have it on a reel-to-reel tape that I recorded off of WRPI-FM when I lived in that area in the 70's.

Good tunes. Thanks for the memory jog.

Jimi Hendrix greatly admired Dylan and covered a lot if his works most notably:

"All Along the Watchtower"

Probably Hendrix's biggest hit.

Here's Dylan's version of it, such a strange and beautiful song. To this day I can't figure it out

I have vinyl Pink Floyd (Screaming Abdabs) ROIO albums that I've not yet seen on youtube, and a few that I do see there.

I'm more inclined to like the earlier Pink Floyd. The Wall was a change of direction for them.

But it was fun to see them in an open-air concert in 1975.

Bob Dylan was and still is an amazing song writer but his performance is lacking.. He's a poet and didn't know it. I love the guy but Jimi Hendrix is the best. I saw Dylan last year at a small venue - not the best artist but the best song writer. I love the guy but he's
not all that when it comes to performing.. I know he's old now, but I stick by my words.

@#19 ... Jimi Hendrix greatly admired Dylan ...

In the song linked in #7, Hendrix says...

~I'm gonna do a thing by Bob Dylan ... that's his Grandma over there... a little thing called Like A Rolling Stone...~

Calling out Dylan's Grandma.

That is so cool.

imho, the song linked in #7 is required listening for any Dylan fan.

Oh yeah, Dylan's voice was always sub par, kinda odd. And it's gotten much worse over the years. Like you say he's really more a poet/songwriter. That's his genius.

Lamp-

Thanks for the Floyd, I have been going to their concerts since the mid 70s.

Flipping the switch, I have been a HUGE Tool fan since they came on the scene in the early 90s because Maynard Keenan has the same musicality that Mason and Gilmore had in the 60s though early 80s, they IMO are the Floyd of the 90s and beyond.

I love the fact that kids from the mid 2010s and beyond are recognizing their brilliance.

@#25 ... Thanks for the Floyd, I have been going to their concerts since the mid 70s. ...

The last concert of Pink Floyd I saw was The Wall concert at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, NY.

I was able to see them because they added another night to the sold-out shows there.

I took a morning off from work when the tickets went on sale. I showed up at the local Ticketron establishment (now a dentist office, but I digress...) to buy the tickets for my friend and me.

I was going to work afterwards so I was in my 3-piece suit attire (I was in marketing at the time, a dark point in my life, but I digress again)....

At Ticketron I was surrounded by a crowd of teenagers. I was able to get two tickets for the show. (Yeah!)

After participating in the concert, I remember I had to drive through an ice storm from Lon Island to Connecticut.

Not A Fun Experience.

Lately, David Gilmour has been doing some good stuff. Roger Waters, not so much.

And Sam Hope's best (and most commercially recognized) cover of Tool for Brass Against the Machine:

Brass Against - Parabola (Tool Cover) ft. Samuel Hope

This body, this body holding me
Be my reminder here that I am not alone in
This body, this body holding me
Feeling eternal, all this pain is an illusion

Brendon Urie does a pretty amazing job. He has said in interviews that he wishes he was Freddy Mercury, and I think his dream kind of shows through in his cover. Not sure who the guitarist is here but he kinda slaps too.
