At this point, it looks to me a if Pres Trump has surrounded himself with staff who, at best, dare not criticize his policies. Or, at worst, blindly following his directives.

So I would view any "investigation" by Sec Pompeo as fairly useless.

The Federal Government in Washington is no longer working for the people, it is working for the re-election of Pres Trump.

"I suspect that much of what's been reported will ultimately prove wrong, but our obligation, my obligation as secretary of state, is to make sure that we evaluate, investigate. Any time there is someone who posits that there may have been a risk to one of our officers, we'll obviously do that," Pompeo said. He forgot the /Sarcasm/humor/not a chance in hell switch.
