So, why then didn't the Republicans impeach him for all of those digressions?

The Republicans had a majority in the House of Representatives starting with the 112th session of Congress (beginning January 2011). They could have started the impeachment of fmr Pres Obama.

Were the Republicans abdicating their Constitutional responsibilities even at that time, nearly a decade ago?

Because the GOP recognized that impeachment was a dramatic and serious endeavor, not a singular agenda culminating in gleefully handing out signing pens.

@#2 ... Because the GOP recognized that impeachment was a dramatic and serious endeavor ...

The Republicans who were in the House when fmr Pres Obama was President?

Thanks for the laugh.

That humor aside, I find it quite interesting that some are apparently now trying to defend Pres Trump's actions with the tired old,~but what about fmr Pres Obama~ excuse.

The headline says 78 broken laws but the article only lists 6.

Not trying to defend Trump, just point out that only one resolution was introduced by the GOP controlled house during Obama's administration (over use of drones) and it was quickly shut down by both Boener and the Judiciary Committee.

Thanks for the laugh.

Seems like a number of these are open to interpretation. "Supported the Patriot Act." Frankly I wish he had opposed it or given up some executive power, but the Patriot Act is the current law of the land. So this article is arguing that Obama broke the law by upholding the law and using the powers granted to the Executive by Congress through the Patriot Act?

When a dem breaks the law, no biggie, as it's just par for the course for them and it's "nothing to se here, just move along". The usual double standard for them.

#7 That was laughable.
Accusations without evidence, following passed law and lies are all that were listed.

Obama was very cool and very legal.

"Gary Maher has been writing seriously since 2010 and professionally since 2013. He has written professionally for three newspapers and seven websites. He also writes short stories and novels on the side. He maintains a staunch Republican mindset and believes the country is in desperate need of a conservative overhaul, and helped get Donald Trump elected President in 2016."

Well then, let's let Trump have his way with our nation.

Thanks, Obama!

Stopped reading the article at #1. Appears to be just a lame attempt to twist things.
