Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Sunday, February 02, 2020

That's our good news. The president will be acquitted. Now, we knew that from the first day, of course " which is one of the reasons this whole overhyped charade was always such an insulting waste of time. But now it's official. Even Trump-hating Republicans in the Senate are thoroughly sick of this. They want it over.

They're literally stunned over on MSNBC. A person called Mara Gay declared that if the results of the last election aren't nullified immediately, democracy will be dead forever. Think about that for a minute. She clearly hasn't. It's kind of hilarious, actually.

In fact, she's a member of The New York Times editorial board. Not that that makes her a journalist, but she's still the best they can muster. Ponder that over the weekend. The politics editor of The Root, meanwhile, told viewers that now that Donald Trump is staying in office and, nothing can stop him from becoming an authoritarian dictator. He said Trump is literally going to cancel the election in California, our biggest state. OK, Jason Johnson, let us know when he tries.

BWWAAAHWAHAHHAAAHHHAAAAAAAA!

Far from it. I'm energized more than ever, and I'm emailing my loser Senators and letting them know, and calling my Reps and letting them know - both positive and negative.

And citing Tucker Carlson? That lowlife POS? He lies, twists, convolutes, and misinforms at every opportunity.

Good job, Boaz! You made my day!

Republicans and Fox "News" have turned into lying lunatics divorced from reality, and without any sense of right or wrong. They've gaslighted themselves into irrelevance.

Anyone that uses the anti-American POS known Tucker Carlson as a source is a flaming moron.
The humiliation will come on Election Day in November when the RussiaPublicans lose both houses of congress and the presidency in a landslide.

Put that in your lily white (R)tarded racist redneck pipe and smoke it Boazo!

Since a majority of Americans wanted witnesses and documents, I think the actions of the Senate may have weakened Trump's chances significantly.

Only because the republicans are such shameless pieces of schit they support the Orange Schitheap and his corruption.

Seriously, words don't exist to describe how loathsome, idiotic, soulless, characterless, pathetic and flat out unpatriotic the right is.

Worse is that they're so completely unaware that they say schit like which is one of the reasons this whole overhyped charade was always such an insulting waste of time.

Despite their incessant ------- of the Constitution and extolling of American virtues they willingly let a reality TV conman destroy them all.

Because tax cuts, soshulizm, judges and "librul tears".

... Democrats are Humiliated ...

Once the Republicans begin to realize (if they haven't already begun) how low Pres Trump has dragged them, to the point that they have turned their backs on the Constitution and expressed unfettered fealty to the Monarch they have created, I suspect the Republicans will feel even more humiliated.

If they have any feelings left at all.

Republicans are beginning to understand Liberals would have treated anyone that beat Hillary like you treat Trump. No other GOP candidate could have survived such an onslaught.

Its Poppers paradox of tolerance. You are intolerant of the other tribe, and IMO will destroy the country if you don't get your way. Yet you don't really have an alternative candidate.

Republicans are beginning to understand it ain't Trump.

Tucker Carlson: Democrats are defeated and humiliated

Opinion By Tucker Carlson | Fox News

Funniest thing I've read all day.

Talk about getting the news and drawing the wrong conclusions from it.

No wonder Boazo, Dulli and his mattress are here to celebrate. They're dumber than Tucker Carlson.

@#9 ... Republicans are beginning to understand Liberals would have treated anyone that beat Hillary like you treat Trump. ...

FTFY - Republicans are projecting their views that Liberals would have treated anyone that beat Hillary like they think the Liberals treat Trump.

Once again, the Republicans are trying to project their own bad behavior, i.e., trying to say their behavior is OK because, in their minds, they fantasize that others would behave in the same manner.

... Republicans are beginning to understand it ain't Trump. ...

I would say the only thing that the Republicans are beginning to understand is that the have to show unfettered fealty towards Pres Trump, otherwise they are ostracized, at best.

The number of Republicans I have seen, and who have told me, ~you lost~ astounds me. It was the Republicans, from the very beginning, who turned the impeachment process political because they knew they had (and still do not have) any defense for what Pres Trump did. Rationalizing it as, ~what he did was wrong, but not impeachable~ is little more than an tail-between-the-legs retreat from their responsibilities.

A majority vote in the Senate does not give the Republicans the moral or Constitutional-upholding high ground. The manner in which they used that majority vote just shows how willing the Republicans are willing to sink to continue to support a man over the Constitution.

But back to your point, the Republicans do understand it is Pres Trump. They have said as much. They just lack the backbone to do anything about it.

The Dems have shown great restraint in this if obama for example, had done the same thing what do you think the repubs would have done to him? Especially if they controlled congress.do you really believe anything that you post or are you just A lying troll? You idiots are so twisted in your political beliefs you've made conspiracy theories the primary pillar of your philosophy.

The GOP no longer denies Trump did it. You can stop acting as if the charges were made up out of thin air.

Also, if you had the ability to think you'd realize that the easiest way to ensure your party's POTUS doesn't get impeached is to elect somebody worthy of the office. You know, show some character and values for once.

No. The Dems are not humiliated. In my mind, I currently think of the random Republican as a pig rolling around merrily in a sty full of fresh ---- and celebrating an extra serving of gruel.

Humiliated?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The GOP just gave the democrats the campaign issue of the GOP covering up Fat Nixon's crimes.

82% of REGISTERED VOTERS wanted to hear from Bolton in the Senate trial (which is the first impeachment trial to not call ANY witnesses).

Humiliated? Hardly.

This was a foregone conclusion.

#27 | Posted by Nixon at 2020-02-03 06:43 AM | Reply

Using history as a guide, this impeachment gambit, especially given the half-assed and hyper-partisan manner in which the House conducted their side, will likely backfire on Democrats.

At this point it's a foregone conclusion that the Senate will acquit and if both articles are voted on separately, it's all-but guaranteed at least 3 Dem Senators will vote against the obstruction of congress article, which is a stupid farce.

Abuse of power is a judgement call and my expectation is unity among both parties on this article, but it wouldn't surprise me if, say, Sinema and/or Manchin peel off and vote to acquit.

So, projecting forward to November, if Trump wins again, what's next?

Will Democrats and their media allies call for more articles of impeachment? Let's face it, impeachment talk for Trump started before he was even inaugurated (it probably would have been even worse had Ted Cruz been the nominee, BTW - but I do think any of the other '16 candidates would have been treated as Republican presidents are normally by the left/Democrats/MSM) and Trump's first impeachable offense was to deny the Left the power it feels entitled to. Will calls for a military coup begin to creep up? That sounds extreme and maybe it is but nothing would surprise me if Trump wins re-election.

Lying about a -------.
That's the same as holding half a billion from an Ally at war with an enemy so you can pressure that Ally into announcing a fake investigation into your political opponent!

I would have liked to see Bolton testify in the house where the witnesses were supposed to be called but they didn't subpoena him. Maybe you should blame Schiff and Pelosi for that one.

The House requested, the WH blocked Bolton from testifying. The House, as explained repeatedly, didn't want to go through the protracted lawsuits, appeals, etc. which take years. Since then Bolton's said he would testify, regardless of the WH's wishes, and since his underling's lawsuit was tossed.

I have to be careful with it, though, Jeff.
I found that in some locations in the U.S., sarcasm is not understood and they take you quite literally.
The right-wing demonized the Clintons to an absolutely unheard of level, investigation on top of investigation. Over and over. They put out movies, raised billions and billions and billions off their hate industry.

Because of that, whenever anyone brings up the Clintons, like you or Laura, I dismiss it immediately as worthless. Seriously - how many Benghazi investigations did we have to go through, and yet this with Trump was one too much? Even his supporters that acknowledge he's guilty just blow it off as unimportant, not worthy of being concerned about.

If this isn't worth impeachment, what is?

Oh that's right. Lying about a ------- if you're a Democrat.

(more sarcasm for you)

BS, Republican congress worked with Clinton on all sorts of issues. Democrats today are too busy in their hatred to have both sides win.

The far-right demonized them to be sure. I jest about them being "evil". But todays Democrats are even booing her. But hardly investigation after investigation, if Clinton hadn't lied about his relations, then commit purgery and witness tampering, I doubt anything would have happened to him.

Democrats always have the media on their side.
