To achieve such global control to save the planet, it is necessary to eliminate national sovereignty and independent nations. Eliminating national borders quickly led to the excuse for openly allowing the "natural migration" of peoples. The UN Commission on Global Governance clearly outlined the goal for global control stating, "The concept of national sovereignty has been immutable, indeed a sacred principle of international relations. It is a principle which will yield only slowly and reluctantly to the new imperatives of global environmental cooperation." That pretty much explains why the supporters of such a goal go a little off the rails when a presidential candidate makes his campaign slogan "Make America Great Again."

That's such a tiresome strawman,Boaz, So we should do nothing about environmental degradation because it might offend national concepts of sovereignity? What BS! If the world could eliminate cloroflorocarbons to save the ozone why not tackle emissions too? Why must america ALWAYS be so retrograde about everything? Hell, even going metric was Too HARD for Americans to adopt despite obvious advantages in trade and manufacturing, but I get it, AMERICA IS EXCEPTIONALLY SPECIAL AND EVERYBODY ELSE NEEDS TO GET OVER IT!!

The UN has always been an enemy of national sovereignty. Global warming is just the latest excuse for killing it, just like it's the latest rationale for socialism. The goals of the left and the Lennonists never change, just the reasons for why it's "necessary."

That's another strawman. The UN is about all nation's being equal in weight with each other And not letting the big countries push the little ones around. America is the biggest kid on the block but we cry victim as if we were San Marino or something. We never compromise on anything, our way or no way, seems to be our motto. If anyone challenges that we cry about what victims we are of the UN. We owe the UN about $1,000,000,000,000 dollars in back dues and fees that we won't pay. America is the DEADBEAT nation.

Paranoid about the left much, nulli? Maybe they think they are right in good faith just as much as you think you are right. In any case try not to sound like a little an old woman with the "vapors" about "those leftists", you sound like a frightened fool.

"The UN has always been an enemy of national sovereignty."

Your revisionist history sucks.

The UN was created by the US, to serve the geopolitical interests of the US. Full stop.

Good. Let's just cancel it, like student loans. Anc kick the UN out of New York and convert the buildings into affordable housing. Win-win.

^
So, to Make America Great Again, do we roll the clock back to WWII, FDR and the United Nations?
Or do we have to go all the way back to WWI and Woodrow Wilson, founder of the League of Nations?

Woodrow Wilson purged the Federal government of undesirables; in his case, blacks. I'm thinking Wilson.
But I would genuinely love to hear Boaz's answer, since he's the one making the case.
