Emboldened after his impeachment acquittal, President Donald Trump now openly admits to sending his attorney Rudy Giuliani to Ukraine to find damaging information about his political opponents, even though he strongly denied it during the impeachment inquiry.

I am glad LaLaLamar and Shaky Susan know he learned his lesson.

The funny thing is he thinks he cannot be impeached again over this.

Susan Collins reminds me of a politician from a different era. Neville Chamberlain. He learned his lesson my ass! She should see hundreds of signsto that affect at every public appearance she makes from not until the election. I seriously hope she loses the election and has to remember her cowardly vote is the reason why.

How is this a revelation?

#7 | Posted by visitor_ at 20

A revelation this was something else Trump lied about? No, all we patriots understood he was lying at the time.

A revelation you don't care that he lies? Give me a break.

#8 | Posted by Zed at 2020-02-14 09:35 AM | Reply

There is a difference between a revelation and a confession.

When the witnesses testified, that was a revelation.

Now that Trump admitted they were correct, and he lied to America, it is a confession of the President's lies, and the Republican conspiracy to lie to deny the wrong doing.

How many lies and wrongful attacks on witness who testified are the Republicans guilty of during the Impeachment hearings.

Does Trump realize he can be impeached again?

#9 | Posted by oldwhiskeysour at 2020-02-14 09:38 AM | Reply

Big deal.

Unfortunately, there's a large percentage of people - and the Republican Party - who don't care and are glad he did send Giuliani there. They think it's perfectly fine and within his right.

Trump and Rudy, the dynamic duo. Corruption fighters extraordinaire.

This means that when Trump's advocates in the House made claims such as Giuliani acted on his own and Trump was motivated by concerns about corruption that they knew that was defense was garbage and perjured themselves during the impeachment hearings or they actually believed what they were saying and demonstrated that they are so easily mislead and utterly incompetent that they have no business being in Congress.

The Right has no conscience that I can see, or a vestigial one at best. VERY occasionally you can hit a nerve of guilt in them. But those moments only become rarer. If you ever wanted to know where Nazis come from you have met the enemy, and it's people like PHESTER.

#23 | Posted by Zed at 2020-02-14 11:15 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

The bottom line is that the Right wants a dictatorship. I wish I could say that they at least want a class-act tyranny, but they've already settled for whatever Trump decides.

Donald Trump de-legitimizes himself with these Ukrainian crimes. He must know that he'll be even that much less accepted as president, even if re-elected. His behavior makes no sense except for two points:

1) The bastard just loves to rub the noses of his countrymen in piss, especially after he gets away with something.

2) Putin LOVES de-legitimized American elections and presidents.

Rudy Giuliani Plans Ukraine Trip to Push for Inquiries That Could Help Trump nyti.ms

May 9, 2019

Rudolph W. Giuliani, President Trump's personal lawyer, is encouraging Ukraine to wade further into sensitive political issues in the United States, seeking to push the incoming government in Kiev to press ahead with investigations that he hopes will benefit Mr. Trump.

Mr. Giuliani said he plans to travel to Kiev, the Ukrainian capital, in the coming days and wants to meet with the nation's president-elect to urge him to pursue inquiries that allies of the White House contend could yield new information about two matters of intense interest to Mr. Trump.

One is the origin of the special counsel's investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election. The other is the involvement of former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.'s son in a gas company owned by a Ukrainian oligarch.

Mr. Giuliani's plans create the remarkable scene of a lawyer for the president of the United States pressing a foreign government to pursue investigations that Mr. Trump's allies hope could help him in his re-election campaign. And it comes after Mr. Trump spent more than half of his term facing questions about whether his 2016 campaign conspired with a foreign power.

He said his efforts in Ukraine have the full support of Mr. Trump. He declined to say specifically whether he had briefed him on the planned meeting with Mr. Zelensky, but added, "He basically knows what I'm doing, sure, as his lawyer."

@#9 ... Now that Trump admitted they were correct, and he lied to America, it is a confession of the President's lies, and the Republican conspiracy to lie to deny the wrong doing. ...

For me, that is the significant aspect of this.

Pres Trump has just thrown all those Republicans who parroted his lie under the bus.

Pres Trump has implicated the Republicans in the lie.

Of course, now the question becomes, what did the Republicans know, and when did they know it?

The only redeeming part of this entire dank period of American politics is that for the GOP to sink lower they would have to nominate an actual pile of flaming crap and even then that is iffy that it would be lower.

From now on the only answer to a cancervative complaining about any policy pushed by a democrat is "trump".
