Kelly Phillips Erb: [A] proposal to include feminine hygiene products during Tennessee's sales tax holiday faces resistance from lawmakers -- and I'm not making this up -- concerned about the lack of a limit on those purchases.

That is hilarious! I loved how funny she made it.

Why are tampons taxed when items such as bandaids are not?

Why are tampons taxed

Because if women were busy getting pregnant they wouldn't be getting their periods.

The menstrual Cycle is God's punishment for not getting pregnant.

"If you give these,,,, uh,,,, "people" an inch here they'll be using 6 or 8 tampons at a time! It'll be mayhem!!!"

they'll be using 6 or 8 tampons at a time!

The more you use the better the protection, right?

Plus, there are other holes they could fill, ears, nose, mouth, belly button..

We always knew that making America great again could be a dirty job.

GOP mantra, women must be barefoot, pregnant and stay in the kitchen! With people holding view slike this, we, Americans, have no moral high ground to lecture anybody on how to behave, live a life or anything for that matter.

So what's the problem?

So what's the problem?

Said view does not align with modern gender expectations.

Seems simple to me, but I'm a simple man. Clear it up for me so I can understand your POV more clearly.

Thanks in advance.

A woman can never be too rich, too thin or have too many tampons to stuff into her ---. Said no woman ever.

This is some goofy shht, even by dcckwad republican standards.

They really ought to be given away for free.

Fellas, imagine having to drop a quarter or whatever each time you had to take a psss.

No big deal at first, but it would add up and become a giant pain in your sss in fairly short order.

Imagine a night out with the fellas drinking a pile of beers.

Think about leaving for a quick trip to the store and forgetting to grab some change just in case.

You'd find yourself out there in the Kroger parking lot saying "can you spare some scratch, breh? I gotta take a psss so bad I can taste it.."

So what's the problem?

They're going to be able to purchase tampons without the state making money from it.

Women exist to serve; usually man but in this case the state. Allowing them to buy things tax-free violates this principle.

Seems a little like the boy trying to plug the dam with his finger...kinda pointless.

Doesn't Tennessee have any real problems for their government to tackle?

Plenty of them.

They might want to start with teaching basic sex-ed to kids when they start hitting that age.

And, a guy wants to be a woman so she has to buy tampons? Guy wants a period?

Another attempt by the GOP to control women and their bodies.

We have a tax free day in Texas right before school starts. No one complains. Most use it to buy school supplies. I know everything else is still tax free, Including women's sanitary products.

As long as they keep the taxes on beer guys will make up the revenue lost on tampons those 5-6 days every month.
