Not surprised that technology has unintended consequences. Deliberately trying to fall asleep seems to be less effective than listening to an audiobook and nodding off after the first chapter or earlier.

I took mine off because it was uncomfortable to wear.

@#1 ... Not surprised that technology has unintended consequences. ...

Along those lines, many times, as you say, technology creates more problems than it solves.

If someone is having trouble sleeping, the first thing to do is not buy something you can obsess over. The first thing to do is find out what is keeping you awake.

And if you're not having trouble sleeping, why buy technology to tell you that?

Wellllll..... considering that mass availability of artificial lighting is a recent phenomenon in the human experience... really less than 100 years. It has changed everything we think regarding sleep because we are arguing with a meatsuit that evolved after eons using seasonal sunlight and lunar moonlight cycles to function in a situation it isn't really designed for. It seems silly to think of the body wanting to do what it wants to do as a problem.

The problem is the arrogance of people thinking it knows better than nature.

4 letters: CPAP

I don't know if it will fix the anxiety problem (probably not) but between it and the pills to help the enlarged prostate, it has changed my sleep for the better many times over. I breathe right and don't get up to pee.
