Michael Bloomberg will sell Bloomberg LP, the multibillion-dollar financial-data and media company he co-founded nearly 40 years ago, if he is elected president, his campaign said Tuesday.

We don't need another lying billionaire in office...
they have no concept of what it is to struggle.

This is all about preventing a Warren or a Sanders
from becoming POTUS and taxing the rich a healthy amount.
It is all about self-preservation.

Blah blah blah.

Fat Nixon promised to divest of his businesses, release his taxes and never golf.

Billionaires are pathological liars.

Whatever happened to Klobo, Warren, Biden and Butti? It's like they've been erased from the race.

#4 Well he buhleeeves that if he just lets them have one more tax cut they will make him a billionaire too.

#5 | Posted by Nixon at 2020-02-19 11:39 AM | Reply

Sure he would. Not! Why do these egotist that have 55 billion dollars wish to be POTUS? There is simply no logical reason for people like him to do so unless he can further enrich himself. Go away Bloomy we do not need the likes of you representing us the common folk.

If Bloomberg gets the nomination, which I hope he does not, he will be held accountable by the Dems and will be forced to do what he promised. At least if history is any judge. The Dems seem to be much better than the Repubs at holding their own to account.

He's not going to get the nomination.

This guy is only SLIGHTLY better than Trump. And that isn't enough.

But I think Bloomberg is in to take out Sanders and annoy Trump.

I think Bloomberg has miscalculated and is going to help get Sanders the nomination.

Bloomberg is the best candidate of the Left. Bloomberg/Warren? Bloomberg/Pete? Bloomberg/Amy?

BB: First you were all gung ho for Biden. Now that he has imploded you are going all-in for Bloomberg. Safe to say you are looking for a moderate, slightly right of center person going under the Democratic label, but with sympathetic views toward Wall Street and big business. The fact that he is a billionaire with a really sketchy past replete with NDAs and racially questionable policies does not seem to faze you.

It fazes lots and lots of liberals and progressives, myself included. Not to unfairly categorize him, but he seems like HRC 2.0

No, I'm looking at the polls. Biden looks to be toast and Bernie is on the rise.

#13 - That's not how the math needs to work out. The polls are saying Bernie is toast. Bernie claimed he would win in a landslide. He's not. His whole plan requires the massive revolution to happen. Guess what, he has only lost support this time around.

I wouldn't trust Bloomberg any further than I could throw him. He's an oligarch ~ no better than the one we're trying to get rid of now. The difference between Bloomberg and Trump is one is insane and the other is not but they've both lost contact with the working class a long time ago.

The minute their feet hit the carpet in the Oval Office they turn into glorified dictators with no sense of anything except how to benefit themselves and their friends with all the power that has suddenly been handed to them on a silver platter.

If America hasn't learned it's lesson from the last three years, shame on us.

Stick with the common man or woman who still has the humility to appreciate America's roots and we'll stand a chance of digging ourselves out of this pool of quicksand the last election handed us.

There is something despicable about purchasing the presidency!

Bloomberg is doing the same thing now he did to make his fortune in the first place. If he wins, he sells his business to the Chinese giving them a major stake in American Media that they could not otherwise legally acquire. If he loses, he still sells out to the Chinese while keeping his money in Chinese chosen banks and his residence in Bermuda.

"There is something despicable about purchasing the presidency!"

That's what should give us our first clue. To people like Bloomberg and Trump, everything has a price tag.

Good grief! Hasn't Trump already sold off enough of our dignity.

Maybe we should find out how much business Bloomberg does with Russia before we vote for him.

LOL and Bernie last struggled...when?

You Bernie Bro idiots are gonna hand the win to Trump.

Yeah. Right.

That's Bernie.

Pffft we're so f---ed.

The GOP is corrupt as schit and is more or less turning fascist and the "p-p-progressives" are wandering off into lala land all starry eyed and full on retarded.

Bernie Bros aren't going to hand the win to Trump.

Little sell-outs to Bloomberg will.

Oh and btw he got destroyed tonight, in case you were wondering. One could say he "came up short." (Lol *knee slap*)

Mr. Bloomberg previously made a similar argument in a New York magazine interview, asking, "Wouldn't it be great if we could get all the Russian billionaires to move here?"

Interesting ...

Nope. Mark my words, whiny "p-p-progressives" who take their vegan, gluten free, flavor free, nutrient free, thought free balls and go home on election night will hand the win to Trump.

He'll win the coasts like there's no tomorrow. But he'll lose the EC in the middle.

Didn't watch. The Dems this year are a joke and I've stopped expecting somebody who aligns with my view to be a prominent candidate.

JOE

Sorry you didn't like my comment. But my "observation" is that nobody bothered to dig into Trump's foreign entanglements (Deutsche Bank, for example) with Russia before they voted for him.

Seems to me that little bit of "discovery" would have stopped the country from jumping head first into the bottomless pit of corruption that is the Trump administration now.

I'm uncertain as to why you wouldn't rather be safe than sorry.

Being 2 steps to the right of Sanders is NOT "slightly right of center". Not even close. NONE of these candidates are even slightly left of center.

Bloomberg is a liar and will do no such thing. If he is elected he will probably put TRumps nasty offspring in his cabinet.
