Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, February 20, 2020

"I have a plan" was Elizabeth Warren's rallying cry for the better part of 2019 when she rose to the top of the Democratic primary. ... On Wednesday, the "plan" candidate returned in force on a Las Vegas debate stage: She decided to be the fighting warrior on stage who should not be ignored -- and rather effectively took aim at new-kid-on-the-block Mike Bloomberg, whose rustiness in a debate came through early and often. Warren got into it with Mayor Mike in the opening moments by citing some of the things he's allegedly said about women: "I'd like to talk about who we're running against -- a billionaire who calls women fat broads and horse-faced lesbians. No, I'm not talking about Donald Trump. I'm talking about Michael Bloomberg."

Cute. But I think it is pretty much appropriate.

If the only thing they have on her is the Native American slurs, then that makes her less a target than is Bernie or than was Hillary.

Which isn't at all fair in any case, but voters in a gen election are what they are, not what we wish they were; they are not policy wonks or activists, they are unfortunately media-dependent and light users at that; easily influenced by headlines and ads before an election.

I still hope that Warren becomes a viable candidate that the left and the middle can support.

Warren - in the BEST CASE - is the tallest midget here. She might win over enough Dems to have the DNC steer here the nomination after the Bloomberg disaster - but she stands ZERO CHANCE in the general. Trump would take 45+ states if she is the Dem nominee - also 30% of the black vote.

We give you the best advice. Honestly, no one you have now will stand a chance in the general. Unfortunately for you, Hillary will likely use Bloomberg's implosion to state she is being drafted. I told you from Day 1 - your only chance at winning was to draft an actually likeable person. My suggestion was Oprah or Mark Cuban. Too late now. Your choice is now narrowed down to Bernie or anti-Bernie and you don't stand a chance of unifying your own party much less spawning large independent turnout. As your clownshow unfolds, Trump's approval GOES UP...again, just like I told you it would.

Hillary should have learned a lesson from her husband. Admit you ------ up and move on. If Bill had simply said, "Yeah, I got a-------- from Monica", that would've been the end of the entire affair.

At this point the more she tries to stay relevant the more Hillary Clinton is a boon to the GOP.

The best thing she can do for her party, and herself, for that matter, is to retire to a beautiful place in the woods. Sleep in, have a lazy morning. After lunch go hiking in scenic beauty for a couple of hours. Shower. Start happy hour at 4 O'Clock. Have a professionally prepared dinner. Get drilled by The Gimp she has caged. I would estimate that a near majority of Bernie supporters don't really identify themselves as Democrats so they are omitted from the process. Because Independent does not mean 'between the Dems and GOP politically' - it also picks up a swathe of people way to the left of the Dems. Bernie is not really going to get any center/right leaning Dems/Independents.

As for Bernie - he does not scare me. His programs are nonsense but he would be out of office after 4 years based on the results of his policies and it would serve as a valuable reminder to all Americans why communist policies don't work. Too many of the Bernie supporters were born after the fall of communism - so they have no idea how bad/dysfunctional the system actually was. We need a small wake up reminder.

That is actually a conservative position within the Dem party now. Gov. Northram of VA was advocating the delivery of viable babies - 'making them comfortable', and then having the parent decide how to proceed. So, abortion stopping at birth is actually an old fashioned belief.

abortion stopping at birth is actually an old fashioned belief.

Well. There's also the English language, which you seem unfamiliar with.

abortion
noun
abortion | '-br-sh'n

1 : the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus: such as
a : spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first 12 weeks of gestation
" compare MISCARRIAGE
b : induced expulsion of a human fetus
c : expulsion of a fetus by a domestic animal often due to infection at any time before completion of pregnancy
" compare CONTAGIOUS ABORTION

After birth, it's no longer an abortion. It's murder.
