She is among the stars herself now. RIP.

Our country thanks you for your service.

Unlike Trumpy's bizarre choices Katherine Johnson actually earned the Presidential medal of freedom and truly deserved a place of honor in America's heart.

A brilliant woman of color (a human calculator),
who could do what many of her male colleagues at the
time could not. You were a true patriot in a time
when your race and gender were not recognized as counting.
They ought to name schools after you.

This was her life:

She was born Black and female in 1918 West Virginia.

This is the real life version of playing life on insanity mode.

She managed to go from that to a respected scientist who worked for NASA and successful wife and mother of three, and was an active member of the same Presbyterian Church for over 50 years!

TO HELL WITH 99% of PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES!

This is what you want your kids to be like.

I loved how John Glenn would only agree to fly if Johnson said the equations the computers spat out were accurate.
