We may as well speculate who Trump will blame for the disaster when coronavirus hits here big, because all he and his people are prepared to do is throw spitballs at it and hide.

What do you expect when you have an anti-science administration putting ignorant, anti-science people in positions of authority that require the use of science?

To say nothing of the fact that Trump's proposed 2021 budget slashes funding for the CDC and the World Health Organization. After all, why should taxpayers be forced to pay for these obvious socialistic organizations?

I'm not filled with confidence; this is without a doubt the stupidest administration in history, led by dotard who can't read and has no curiosity about the world around him except for how he can shape it to make life better for Combover Quisling. Gawd help us!

What JPW said.

We've basically given up on the fact-based leadership that has protected us in the past.

Good luck everyone. Deaths are 10% in folks with cardiovascular disease. That is a lot of America.

These two posts say it all. The most criminal, anti-science, self-centered, barely literate, greedy, vengeful hack to ever occupy the White House is in charge, and with this kind of crisis looking us in the eye, I don't have the slightest bit of confidence that his administration will make decisions based on sound judgment for the betterment of America.

Richard Blumenthal @SenBlumenthal

This morning's classified coronavirus briefing should have been made fully open to the American people"they would be as appalled & astonished as I am by the inadequacy of preparedness & prevention.

This is what happens when you put conservatives in charge of government.

Liberals have been warning about the purges and inability to fill positions with a competent candidate (instead of giving positions based on nepotism and favors) but conservatives just put on their tinfoil hats and start yelling about "deep state". Now the results of that are coming home to roost. And people will die due to conservative incompetence.

Virtually assured.

Things would have gone much better for Kenny C. if only he had some other source of data. Like, maybe, some sort of nationwide organization which is collecting, analyzing and presenting current data from many sources. And run by folks who know what they are talking about. The Communist Party does this in China, why not the Republican Party here in the US? What a great idea--politicians controlling access to national health data.

What if they had an epidemic and no one said so? People would still die...

Trump likes people who don't die from viruses, okay?

I think it is pretty clear that he was more concerned that the resource not being available to the general public and not to himself - but, by all means carry on with the whining about people that are your intellectual superiors.
