President Donald Trump sought to reassure Americans on Tuesday that the coronavirus outbreak poses little threat, but the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention warned hours later to prepare for the disease to disrupt daily life in the U.S.

I don't know about the rest of you, but the words of a very stable genius on a subject about which he is obviously well-versed certainly comforts me. Thank you, Dear Leader.

"They're not all getting better. The ones that died aren't getting better"

Trump doesn't like sick people who die.

We all know that Trump spends five minutes out of his day worrying about coronavirus, and four of those five minutes frightened he will get it.

This virus is in the hands of God if it strikes here, or Fate if you prefer. All Donald Trump will do is hide.

One thing I find interesting about this is that Sen Blunt attended a classified briefing and talked to the press about its contents. Yet Pres Trump did not take to twitter to pillory him.

This is already starting to resemble W's complete bungling of the response to Hurricane Katrina. I hope Trump is right and this virus miraculously disappears soon because he hasn't done s___ to address the situation properly and professionally..

Anyone who read a single newspaper article on the subject in the last seven days could've answered those questions correctly.
The incompetence of this bunch knows no bounds.

Nobody expects all the answers, but the statements coming out of this administration ought to be given some credence.

Unfortunately, Trump and his stooges have spent 3 years undermining that credibility.

That's funny. They should probably read their own books. The plans haven't changed. Pandemic strategy is the same from 2006. There was a 2017 update to one guide.

Indeed.
But these clowns are busy dismantling What Came Before.
Also, they are resentful and suspicious when it comes to expertise.
The general contours of the resulting continuum of ------- are easily discerned.

That's the problem with governance by people who abhor books, science and learning.

They don't consult books or science to learn something until it's too late.

Trump has said he is a very stable genius, who thinks he knows more than the generals and the economists, for example. Trump is a malignant narcissist, who can't admit that he is wrong, can't stand to be contradicted, can't stand to be a told a truth he doesn't want to hear, and can't tolerate anything Obama did. Why should we be surprised at what is happening now? "When someone shows you who they are, believe them."

And this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Trump's dangerous incompetence:

Intel hearing on global threats delayed amid fears of provoking Trump's ire

Intelligence leaders initially wanted to abandon the public portion of the congressional hearing to avoid upsetting Trump.

U.S. intelligence community leaders will not testify publicly or privately before House lawmakers next week about global threats, as negotiations on the timing and format of the annual hearing continue, according to people on both sides of the talks.

The Worldwide Threats hearing that takes place in the House and Senate has become an awkward source of tension after POLITICO first reported that intelligence officials pushed for the hearing that features both public and classified sessions to be moved entirely behind closed-doors over fears their bosses might provoke President Donald Trump's ire.

Last year's public hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee saw the chiefs from NSA, CIA and other agencies present findings that split from many of the president's public statements on North Korea, Iran and Russia.

Trump later lashed out at them on Twitter, suggesting the leaders "go back to school."

Of course Humpy and the fox fakers blame Bernie and the Vicious Democrats for the stock market collapse not the virus.

On Fox Business host Charles Payne said that the true culprit behind the drop was Sen. Bernie Sanders's (I-VT) big upset win in the Nevada caucuses over the weekend.

Yeah riight!!!

We were just talking here in the office. No one wants to go on a cruise. No one really even wants to fly in an airliner. The virus may be rare so far here in the U.S. but with the help of the CDC spokesperson, panic is coming. When hurricanes approach S. Florida, by the time you get off from work and head to the grocery store the shelves are nearly empty. With a virus requiring quarantine of indeterminate length people are going to be going crazy.

"but with the help of the CDC spokesperson, panic is coming. "

See? It's the CDC or Deep State's fault for causing the panic and stock collapse!

Not Humpy Trumpy's incompetence and painfully obvious lies.

Trump will tell us that everything is fine but watch him during the next few days. I'll be surprised if he doesn't do his press conference in a Hazmat Suit. The guy is a germaphobe, this has got to be frightening to him.

Trump Plan:
1. Say everything is okay.
2. When it isn't, blame Democrats, the "MSM", and the "Deep State".
3. When it is over, take full credit and pretend you saved the country.
4. Fire anyone who disagrees.

Trump Option: Cancel the elections because it's too dangerous to vote and stay in Office for another 4 years.

Nothing to worry about? Last night on ABC News they reported about a hotel in Italy, on person tested positive for the virus, now 1000 people are quarantined. Don't know about y'all but if I were quarantined it would be a disaster for my life. Job, family, bills to pay....I don't care what Trump says this is a serious problem which is going to have dire consequences whether he likes it or not....and it's not just about the stock market.

Mike Pence uses prayer to control epidemics. That's what he did in Illinois. They had more AIDS there than in anywhere in America, thanks to him.

"Mike Pence uses prayer to control epidemics. That's what he did in Illinois. They had more AIDS there than in anywhere in America, thanks to him."

Mike Pence didn't spare a single breath of prayer toward that effort. He had zero interest in stopping or preventing AIDS in Indiana. He considers HIV infections to be God's righteous punishment for sin.

Trump stated that there have been 10 cases in the U.S. so far. That was a lie. There have been 57. The guy is so pathologically dishonest that he can't even tell the truth when the difference is statistically insignificant.
