Thoughts and prayers. Yet nobody will think about it or pray on it.

They made a PA announcement in my building that everything was all clear here, which seemed unnecessary since we're 5 miles away.

They're saying at least 2 dead. Probably more.

ABC now has some more details. abcnews.go.com

The previously responsible gun owner (I presume) had been an employee at Molson-Coors who lost their job earlier today. They left the premises but later exercised their right to bear arms which resulted in at least 8 people shot. ABC does not specify if that includes the shooter.

USA Today is reporting 7 dead, including the shooter. www.usatoday.com

Cl0wns are stupid a gun will never give you an extra second in life you weren't meant to have.

Gun owners are the ones who shoot people. They know how evil their thoughts are so no wonder they are afraid. All the time fantasizing about who they can shoot "in self-defense" they usually just end up shooting someone they know and care about in an emotional fit of some sort... or die because of carelessness around them.

Truly less than 1% of firearm fatalities are justifiable self-defense b.s. and those are the facts. A gun owner or the family of a gun owner is 200X more likely to commit suicide with their firearm than shoot someone in self-defense those are the facts. 800X more likely to shoot someone in a domestic violence situation than in "self-defense" those are the facts too. Then there are all those crimes committed by gun owners... some exclusively by gun owners like mass shootings. Those are the facts.

Fact is and statistics bear this out...guns are used more for aggression against another human being than in self-defense

The self dense argument is stupid tinfoil hat mentality.

Obeying the owner's private property rights to avoid felony trespassing. Those are still a thing until the Socialist Revolution does away with private ownership except for the political oligarchy.

Are you actually going to refute his statistics (with ones of your own since you seem convinced they are incorrect), or are you just going to whine about it?

Oh... thats right. You are a conservative. You don't believe in elitist things like "facts", science, and statistics. Carry on with your whining.

If you're going to throw numbers around, you should be able to back them up. If the source of the "facts" is not the "The Center for Made Up Numbers and Incorrectly Interpreted Statistics" it should be apparent.

If you're citing statistics, show your work.

Estimates for the prevalence of DGU span wide ranges and include high-end estimates"for instance, 2.5 million DGUs per year"that are not plausible given other information that is more trustworthy, such as the total number of U.S. residents who are injured or killed by guns each year. At the other extreme, the NCVS estimate of 116,000 DGU incidents per year almost certainly underestimates the true number. There have been few substantive advances in measuring prevalence counts or rates since the NRC (2004) report. The fundamental issues of how to define DGU and what method for obtaining and assessing those measurements is the most unbiased have not been resolved. As a result, there is still considerable uncertainty about the prevalence of DGU. Efforts to resolve the uncertainty provide insight into some, but not all, aspects of DGU measurement, which may drive the large differences in prevalence estimates. The difficulties of defining and measuring DGU have implications for understanding not only the prevalence of DGU but also the relationship between DGU and outcomes of interest, such as the probability of victimization and injury. We turn to the evidence on this question in the next section. (emphasis added)

It's a shame that crazy people have such easy access to guns in America and that they choose to murder innocent people with them.
