Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, March 13, 2020

Something that had been merely suggested before has now been blown wide into the open in China. A spokesman for China's foreign ministry, Zhao Lijian, tweeted yesterday that "it might be the US army" that brought the coronavirus to China, giving an official boost to a conspiracy theory that had been allowed to circulate on Chinese social media for weeks.

China is taking lessons from the Republican Party. Always accuse your opponent/enemy of doing what you are actually doing.

Communist-coddling leftists will probably believe the Chinese communists. They have been useful idiots for communist propaganda since 1917,

Republicans learned it from the Democrats. And the Democrats learned it from the Marxists.

Some of us have been saying that for years. But not Joe Biden.

No you haven't.

You've just started chirping whatever Orange schitstain tells you to chirp and then revising history to act as if you aren't the brain dead sycophant you clearly are.

"I don't think anybody knows it was Russia that broke into the DNC. [Clinton's] saying Russia, Russia, Russia, but I don't"maybe it was. I mean, it could be Russia, but it could also be China. It could also be lots of other people. It also could be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, OK?"

I don't have excuses. I am not a conservative. I actually take personal responsibility for my actions. Instead of trying to just blame someone else for my shortcomings.

Daaaaannnnnggg.....and here I was ascribing to the theory that China started this virus epidemic in order to deprive the fat orange from his political rallies that keep him delusional.

I thought wow sure didn't take them long to c0me up with an "old bat" virus to scare off his base.

It is the spearhead of an international effort to depose him through biowarfare. Ironically it is their way of treating the symptoms of our cultural diseases like greed and exploitation.

That great sucking sound you heard after the meeting between Mao and --------------...was jobs leaving the US... while others blamed it on NAFTA few took time to consider that Mexico is also competing with China for US jobs.

"I think China is going to really be terrific," Trump said at a White House event in late January, two weeks after signing a phase one trade deal with Chinese Vice Premier Liu He. "Honestly, I think, as tough as this negotiation was, I think our relationship with China now might be the best it's been in a long, long time."

--That great sucking sound you heard ...

Happened after Bill Clinton enabled China's entrance to the WTO. The damage to US manufacturing has been tremendous and continues to this day. It's the Clinton legacy, and one of the most suicidal policies this country ever pursued.

FCS Nulli, China is a world player whether you like it or not. China never stole one job, stock holders gleefully sent those jobs there and your 401k benefitted and you shopped at Walmart.

WII is over and the world has recovered and we aren't better or smarter than anyone else.

Believe me, I've been in United Technology's meetings "why do you make anything here"

When Republicans and Bill Clinton gave China Most Favored Nation trading status you mean.

#18 | Posted by GalaxiePete at 2020-03-14 02:08 PM | Reply

Nixon gave China the opportunity to become rich and all the rest is just partisan baloney. Our corporations are who gave China our jobs because corporations don't have loyalty to nations, the only rule they know is profit. Then our consumers bought the stuff they imported. Trying now to blame Bill Clinton? That's just childish. Americans brought this on ourselves, we elected the politicians who did what they did with openness and we, the American people, didn't really even object. We could have prevented this any time we wanted to but we wanted cheap manufactured goods. Blame whoever you want but then look around your house and see all the things you bought that were made in China.

Danni,

"Our corporations are who gave China our jobs because corporations don't have loyalty to nations"

And people pushing for "globalism" did their part too.

Both liberals and conservatives played a part in moving our jobs over to China.

Nixon should have been impeached for opening the door to recognizing communist China over Taiwan. Jimmy Carter completed it. If Taiwan was the democracy then, that it is now, I doubt it would have happened.

I love how the clowns forgot that Nixon left the nation in financial ruins before he left office... and he was simultaneously trying to pull up a smokescreen to his failure of losing the war and the worst economy (at that time) since the Great Depression.

Basically and I will give him credit for this... Nixon faced the reality that we can't win a war without the annihilation of the world so he enacted the business approach. Anyone alive during that time knows that Americans considered Asian products inferior, cheap and not worth the plastic it was made of... Asia wasn't considered a threat.

Carter had placed curbs on what we could import from China and Reagan $#!t canned that and opened the trade lifting restrictions and started selling them military equipment.

You can't erase it that Nixon inserted us into the process. Ergo KMA

"Nixon should have been impeached for opening the door to recognizing communist China over Taiwan."

Sorry but you are crazy. Nixon just recognized the most populous nation in the world, to do otherwise would have been crazy and I am not usually a fan of Richard Nixon. Denying the reality of China would not have benefited us but could have eventually led us to a war we could not win. Nixon did many things wrong but going to China was not one of them.

"And people pushing for "globalism" did their part too."

Yes it did cost millions of Americans good paying jobs but...notice one important thing.....no world wars since 1945. That's a very good thing, IMHO. We can and should thank Richard Nixon for that.
