Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who ran a foreign policy-focused campaign for the presidential nomination of a party she sharply criticized, announced on Thursday that she was dropping out of the race. Gabbard, 38, who was a soldier in Iraq, campaigned on a non-interventionist foreign policy, denouncing "regime-change wars" and the idea of the United States as the world's police. She said her own deployments " she served two tours of duty in the Middle East as a member of the Army National Guard " had taught her the costs of war firsthand. ... The representative from Hawaii, who often defied her own party, announced the end of her campaign and said she would back Joe Biden.

Good for her, leaving on her own terms.

She got what she wanted: raised her profile nationally and along the way established a fundraising network while setting herself up for a run at Senate in 2022. Brian Schatz should be very concerned.

How does this affect Hillary's "Gabbard is a Putin stooge" narrative?

There is a duplicate thread on the back page.

Rcade,

Can you merge the 2 threads?

So Putin isn't going to finance a third party run? I guess he thinks Coronavirus will destroy us well enough that he won't need a new puppet in the WH.

Yep, similar story for Buttigieg. There will be a senate seat battle in that state as well

Schatz has nothing to worry about. He is very popular in Hawaii, where Gabbard not so much. She faced a primary by a real Democrat in November and likely would have lost.

Tulsi's 2 delegates go to... Biden!

I disagree, Schatz is a haole who moved to the Islands when he was two (which technically makes him kama'aina) who was Lt. Gov. and then appointed by the Governor to his seat before beating a weak Republican in 2016.

Tulsi, on the other hand, is kanaka maoli born in American Samoa who also moved to the Islands when she was two and has a strong following in Hawaii. Polynesian ancestry is huge in Hawaii politics.

He should be very concerned.

Putin commanded her to endorse Biden from his lair under Hillary's bed.

Whoa, is that the tunnel to the PizzaGate child-trafficking basement? Q says all will be revealed soon. Oprah's in on it. And obviously that's why Tom Hanks went to Australia and so conveniently got the COVID.
