Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Senator Rand Paul is currently in quarantine after testing positive for coronavirus. A member of the U.S. Senate testing positive has now raised concerns about what steps, if any, other senators need to take now. Senator Mitt Romney briefly spoke to reporters this afternoon and wished Paul well before saying, "All the senators are going to seek medical advice as to what action we should take to make sure that we don't, in any way, spread this virus ourselves."

GOP Senators lunched daily with Rand Paul? Well let's pray that none of them get the virus. That would be awful! Just horrible.

Rand Paul took his test a week ago and then spent all week doing normal activities including going to the Senate gym and swimming pool this morning.

And he knew full well that he had been near a positive case in Louisville on March 7th, which is why he got tested in the first place.

Links are in the other Rand Paul thread, one early, one late.

If it's a legitimate virus, the male body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.

Good.

This should be a wakeup call to what a selfish, miserable POS Paul and his ilk are.

Watch out. He's a member of the ilk club.

Bear Bryant once famously said that if one person has to be the winningest coach in college football history, it might as well be him.

Rand Paul has tested positive for Corona Virus. He had lunch daily with his GOP colleagues. Hmm. Well, I guess if one or more people need to be wiped off the earth by the Corona Virus...

Rand Paul is a stupid man who ran for president.

Donald Trump is a stupid man who is president.

Couldn't have happened to better people.

Republicans... YOU built that.

If Republicans actually had an evidence-based plan to increase access to healthcare in this country while they seek to tear down the ACA, I wouldn't find it as humorous when they are stricken with a virus. But they don't, so...

Gee. That's too bad.

I'm going to preface this by saying it's only presented as factual content, it isn't wanting or hoping that anyone contracts the virus. Here goes:

Should Rand Paul's infection worsen to the point it consumes him, Kentucky now has a Democratic governor that would pick his interim replacement.

Off the top of my head, the same would be true should any Senator in North Carolina be sidelined.

There are a handful of other states where this dynamic exists too. Wouldn't it be the height of irony if Rand Paul himself tipped the balance in the US Senate even before the November elections?

You can't fix stupid!

So Paul possibly exposed not only other senators, but also the people serving him food. Those people may now be exposing others throughout the facility.
As I said the other day, all legislative bodies across the country need to immediate enact plans to allow the work of lawmakers to continue remotely. The speed of our national response may depend on it.

Headline reminds me of a Carson joke,

After the USSR went through Premiers Brezhnev, Andropov, and Chernenko, all of whom died in office in the span of just three years:
"Are they all drinking from the same glass?"

Considering how many service people Rand Paul deliberately infected I would hope they bring lawsuits against him.

#12 TWINPAC

And install another mainstream Democrat who will vote against the M4A and a UBI while authorizing the tax cut to the wealthiest? Sounds about right.

Oops sorry that was TonyRoma, not TwinPac.

Didn't Rand Paul lose some of his lung from a recent violent encounter on his lawn with a neighbor? At least that part makes sense now since Paul obviously deserves to have his head batted about several ways. So this respiratory disease has a much greater chance of killing Rand Paul then a garden gnome coalition would.

It might appear that eating crow in quarantine is very similar to infected bat soup..

And I can't believe that asshat is a doctor - a real doctor. He makes that profession such a joke, spreading infection acting like a belligerent spring breaker. I'm hoping for coronavirus to correct a lot of things, hopefully the wealth gap but in particular the ego chasm.
