President Donald Trump lamented a previous commitment he made when asked if he will bailout his own businesses at Sunday's press briefing from the White House coronavirus task force. In response, Trump said that "nobody cared" when he committed to forgo the $400,000 presidential salary. "Nobody said thank you," Trump said. "Nobody said thank you very much."

Trump never said thank you as the American people paid for all of his golf trips either.

Pres Trump has it backwards.

Pres Trump should be thanking his employer, i.e., the People of the United States, for offering him a salary and letting him live in the White House.

Pres Trump seems not to understand who he works for.

Maybe people would buy that load of crap if he hadn't charged the Secret Service almost half a million to stay at his hotels or we didn't know about the many other ways he has profited from the presidency.

Trump Complains 'Nobody Said Thank You' He Gave Up Salary

F*** you Trump, you ***hole. Just go away already. Your arrogant narcissistic bloated ego is getting people killed all over this country. Just... disappear.

On the balance sheet, Diaper Donnie is up many tens of millions of dollars thanks to his fleecing of the American taxpayer; thanks to the money he's saving on his loans due to the Fed's zero rate; thanks to the tax bill and special provisions for real estate developers; thanks to charging exorbitant fees for SS to stay at his properties during Hair Twittler's golf outings, and charged to the military on mandatory layovers; thanks to the GOP paying exorbitant fees to hold events at his properties. It will take a few years, but I'm guessing Fat Nixon is up at least $50 million and that doesn't include cash that he's pocketed from his inaugural fund and his campaign.

If Donald Trump fell over dead tomorrow, would anybody care? We could not possibly have a worse leader in the White House at this time than the one we currently have.

Yes, someone would care, moderhate. If you had investments, you would care, too. To have the president die always startles the markets and I would imagine even more so these days.

Look past your hate sometime. A world of reality awaits you.

"Seriously, who cares?"

Probably just the people who understand the opportunity cost of a leader saying X when he could be saying Y instead. People who understand those costs are amplified during a time of crists.

People like RightOCenter, they have sufficient bandwidth to understand that kind of stuff.

yeah we know you cult doesnt care. You happily accepted a fragile egomaniac as your cult leader simply because your perceived "enemies" hate him. No display of stupidity, childishness, or recklessness on his part will ever bother you, which is really quite revealing about you as a person.

politics aside, one MASSIVE distinction between you and folks like ROC are what you reveal here.

Whatever bothers ROC about Trump or the GOP or anything else for that matter wouldn't be revealed here the way you reveal every thought, emotion, and feeling you have.

It's a matter of how we all individually disclose things here. You are more transparent than others here....that's not an insult, BTW.

Eberly, there's a saying, "Your silence speaks volumes."

We aren't venting our frustrations about Trump, and his administration, out on the streets, or at work, or in someone's house. This is the DR, for many of us, our main reason to come here is to get shht off our chests and get on with our lives.

I could understand your perspective of, why don't we all keep our cool, if we were at your house. That would absolutely make sense. I'd be right there with you. We'd kick a bunch of people out of your house together.

But, this is the DR. I'm here to tell you just how Trump is making me feel.

If RoC doesn't have anything to share about what's bothering him about Trump, then most likely, nothing really is.

Jeff has admitted Trump's fondness for well done steaks doesn't sit well with him, and he's not too fond of his oafish disposition. But, otherwise, Trump is probably one of his favorite presidents.

It's the political equivalent of the Blue Wall of Silence.
Not surprisingly, only one party won't ever speak ill of their own rotten apples.

EFF YOU, Donald. You have scammed many many more times your salary from billing taxpayers to stay at your own resorts, steer business and diplomats and armed forces to your clubs and hotels and UK golf clubs. Secret Service, staffers, family, entourage, all billed to us taxpayers. Then there is the matter of your daughter's patents and work in China, all for $$. Then there is the Trump organization from which you are still profiting via your sons. The sooner you are gone, the sooner this naiton can begin to heal, figuratively and literally.

-Eberly, there's a saying, "Your silence speaks volumes."

It's not a very good saying. It's a way for people to assign a position so they can argue.

I've defended virtually nothing about Trump but at the same time, I'm not here "venting my frustrations or get shht off my chest".

What can you conclude from my silence?

That I'm really a big fan of Trump or I can't stand him? I've neither stood up and supported him nor have I posted all kinds of wailing and gnashing of teeth either.

Eberly,

You're not here as often as you once were, or perhaps simply not posting as much. But when you do post here you always make it know you don't support Trump.

Jeff posts here pretty constantly and RoC as well. Their biggest contributions to discussions are deflections, water carrying, cheerleading Trump, trolling the libs and obfusticating.

(Others do it too, but for some reason I hold these two posters to higher standards. Not sure why.) Which, is their prerogative.

#38 | Posted by ClownShack at 2020-03-23 07:09 PM | Reply

If RoC doesn't have anything to share about what's bothering him about Trump, then most likely, nothing really is.

I recall RoC thinking Trump should be impeached, not the way you idiots went about it, but he certainly didn't hold back on his opinions about Trump then.

Just seems you only have one mode, and if on any given day people aren't behaving like you they are, deflecting, carrying water, cheering Trump, trolling the libs and obfusticating.

Seems, RoC has principles, unlike y'all, who are partisan hacks like me.

I didn't think Trump should have been impeached at all. The Senate was always in his pocket. Democrats should be making more noise about all the bills they've sent to the Senate that were DOA. That may have resonated with the American voter a bit better. Also. I knew it was going to backfire.

As for RoC, he wanted impeachment, until he got impeachment, then he didn't like the flavor.

According to conservative-leaning government transparency organization Judicial Watch, Obama's total family travel expenses"including all his time spent on the golf course"came out to some $114 million total. A great deal of that travel, however, was eventually reimbursed by the Democratic Party. Conservatives frequently went after the 44th president over his fondness for the nine iron.

Whereas this POS president has spent , no we've spent over 300 mil over three years compared to Obama's 8 years. So as this orange turd whines we haven't kissed his derriere enough he's hit is up for hundreds of millions for his golf game. God bless trump, no god bless the tax payer.

#42 | Posted by Badcat at 2020-03-23 08:48 PM | Reply

This is the main difference between electing someone who has political experience and someone who doesn't. If Trump were a lifelong politician, he would be able to hide his funds like every other corrupt politician. Instead, there is nobody in America who has any doubt that Trump is still profiting from his office. Just because it's not his salary doesn't mean he's not getting paid in other ways. That's why there is no reason to say thank you in any fashion.

"A great deal of that travel, however, was eventually reimbursed by the Democratic Party."

Any way you spin it, it was the taxpayers who reimbursed the funds. Not saying it was a bad thing but you can't ignore the bottom line. To my point above, they just spun it as the corrupt politicians they are.
