Maybe this will offset Trumpy's economic deaths.

Everything affects everything. Save a few lives here lose a few lives there.

We should just all take a 3 month sabbatical and call it a Jubilee.

Pretty much the view of anti-humanist environmental extremists, like the Voluntary Human Extinction movement.

"like the Voluntary Human Extinction movement."

You have your definition for that and I have mine.

Global warming diniers. Too bad they can't only kill themselves.

"Voluntary Human Extinction movement."

Is that when you don't have kids, like you and I and Andrea, a mattress, Nullifidian?

Thank you for your service.

You and the rest of the anti-humanist environmentalist freaks would like that. Hater.

"Don't take this the wrong way but if you were a young, hardline environmentalist looking for the ultimate weapon against climate change, you could hardly design anything better than coronavirus.

Unlike most other such diseases, it kills mostly the old who, let's face it, are more likely to be climate sceptics"

Texas Lt. Gov Dan Patrick thanks you for your support and understanding during these trying times, Nullifidian.
Now, get out there and do what has to be done!

He is in California.

We are not yet willing to sacrifice our elders to the Economy Gawds for more Money.

Gawd bless Texas. A place where they still think that praying makes it rain.

"He is in California."

If he moved to Texas, he would raise the IQ of both states.

You get the "No Sheet Sherlock" award for that. Yes that would be ideal. If those that are in denial and don't do their part would only eliminate themselves - much like anti-vaxxers (unfortunately Anti-vaxxers aren't doing it to themselves either though...)

I would be willing to sacrifice Nulli. Gladly. In fact it wouldn't be any sacrifice at all. I think we could manage.

Perhaps COVID-45 is the planet's attempt to get rid of the virus that is infecting and destroying it, humans.

People in quarantine are getting a taste of what a living "carbon neutral" lifestyle would be like.

With mankind gone the earth could heal in one hundred years or less. Good to know even if I won't be here for it. Life is strong.

Why is Moderhate always wishing death and harm on people. It's an ongoing theme with him. I guess if I was also a member of the party of tolerance and compassion I would understand where his is coming from.

It's an irony that he wishes ill on people, but has a job that requires him to free the scum of society.

#5 Snoofy, me too, no kids of my own, figured this earth would do well enough without my particular genes when I've got six siblings, just a bunch of boomers, one outstanding nephew out of a mass of them. My stepdaughter's first child, whom I and his grandma raised as a baby, this boy is the world to me. On topic, I'm a non-polluter, riding bikes for 8 years now.

My son has gotten into building electric bikes. Maybe not non-pollution but pretty good. His current bike will go about 70 miles on a charge with an average speed of about 35 so he can keep up with traffic (city streets) on it. It hasn't even really budged our electric bill either I think it takes about 4 cents a week and he rides it just all the time.

Of course he's a dude so it has a top speed of about 70 MPH and could keep up with highway traffic but would only go about 35 miles at that speed. We won't discuss the legality of it. He kept it on a standard bike frame with the widest tires that would support, so at top speed you'll blow a tire pretty easily.

What is really interesting is that he could easily build a commuter ebike running about 40MPH top speed with 150 mile range but that would also be illegal, or at least would have to be registered and would probably require a motorcycle endorsement to ride. The top speed of an unregistered ebike is 20MPH which is pretty useless for a commuter unless they live in a very bike friendly jurisdiction.

So once again we have the technology for many commuters to not require gas guzzling but the laws are lagging.

Quarentine is easy. Do time in solitary. That's hard. It's just you and your thoughts.

I hope he uses tire liners which really help avoid flats. I use them though I'm not in a hurry. Those tiny wires from radial tires are the worst.

"So once again we have the technology for many commuters to not require gas guzzling but the laws are lagging."

Well, given the automobile industry is not likely to survive this in any way that we would call survival in a normal economy...

If we don't come out of this and improve a lot of things about the world -- like carrying two tons of steel with you to the store and back to buy a 10oz bag of Doritos -- then we failed.

And I think the younger you are, the more you agree with that statement.

People are learning about personal responsibility, including personal responsibility to others, in a way that they've never experienced before.
