When you realize that Fat Nixon only authorized the DPA as a PR stunt to say he authorized the DPA with no intention of using it to help Americans, it makes sense.

^ well we can't have all those billions being spent on things that help people.

There's some sort of way they'll get it to the executives. Guarantee it.

Trump would have allied himself with HITLER against the other allies. We would have been an axis power with Trump at the helm. Count on it.

The government's expertise in creating red tape, reams of contradictory regulations and printing money out of thin air won't carry over well into modern lean manufacturing. The private sector has to actually produce real products that works.

You expect some bureaucrat to show up at 3M an tell them how to make more masks?

" The private sector has to actually produce real products that works."

Except that the private sector did not produce the respirators we need because the private sector has to make a profit and some things, like respirators, need to be produced and stored for emergencies. Private sector let us down big time. We can't depend on the private sector to be ready for a crisis like Coronavirus. It's exactly why the private sector should not be a part of our healthcare system.

If you want to nationalize something, how about internet service providers and telecommunications providers? They have a strong strategic value, don't serve all areas well and have worse customer service than the DMV.

More truth to this than you realize, Dotard would have allied himself with the America Firsters who tried to stop the US from entering the war on the side of the Allies. He would have bashed FDR daily the way he did to President Obama. The America First crowd back then had MUCH IN COMMON with the MAGA and America First crowd these days, including an inexplicable love for Reichwing authoritarians!
