This is how trump gets to claim credit for the work of others.

Why? Trump just said yesterday that he doesn't believe hospitals need extra ventilators. They are fine with two per hospital he said.

"The order comes hours after GM announced plans to build critical-care ventilators with Ventec Life Systems at one of the automaker's component plants in Indiana.
The order does not change General Motors' previously announced plans or schedule to produce the ventilators, according to GM spokesman Jim Cain."

So this order does nothing? Sounds like Trump is just trying to take credit for something GM was already doing.

A nation that protects its 2nd Amendment right to bear 3D printed weapons
should come up with a few 3D printed ventilator designs.

Innovators are on it.

No "appreciation" to the Buffoon required.

GM's been working on tooling up for this for a couple weeks. So they started the process probably a month ago. Of course the trumpite faithful won't see or understand this.

Obama's handpicked CEO was trying to price gouge the American public that bailed out GM.

"Obama's handpicked CEO was trying to price gouge the American public"

Just curious, does that maximize shareholder value or not?

What are you babbling about? That was Daniel Akerson. The price is lower than the average price according to what I read. Not to mention the company is literally building and out sourcing a fortune in tooling and equipment overnight. Oh and BTW - GM was WAY ahead of tRump. They announced they were forging ahead and making them available AT COST before he ordered them to make them... They expected the retool and production to cost around 1 BIllion dollars. It's not like you snap your fingers and you are making them. GM has been working on the factory itself for over a week. Most of the Tooling is a week or two out. Maybe even 3 weeks. So to be making thousands by the end of April is awesome.

Truth of the matter in the link so quit lying.

Visitor caught in yet another lie. Not surprised.

We're rushing to make ventilators now because we didn't rush to make test kits eight weeks ago.

The wolf is here. Somebody didn't cry "Wolf!" Anyone know who's job that was?

Trump keeps changing gears from "nothing-to-lose" to "desperate."

A president with any smarts wouldn't be facing this ventilator problem right now.

However, we do have to remember that Trump creates a crisis just so he can take credit for the solution at the last minute. It's his stock in trade.

However, Trump would never use the Defense Production Act UNLESS the death toll was projected to be too high for Trump's re-election comfort level in November.

The only life Trump wants to save is his own.
