President Donald Trump again bashed the Democratic governors of Washington and Michigan on Friday, saying they "should be appreciative" of the federal government and that he's told Vice President Mike Pence -- who heads the White House's response to the coronavirus pandemic -- not to call them.

... "I think we've done a great job for the state of Washington," Trump said ...

That is for the good people of the state of Washington to decide, and not for Pres Trump to dictate.

... Asked what more the president wants from governors, Trump answered: "I want them to be appreciative," he said multiple times. ...

Perhaps if the Trump administration were more helpful, the governors would be more appreciative.

Pres Trump is in the White House to serve the People of the United States and, by extension, the various governors.

Pres Trump still does not seem to be able to grasp that very simple concept of the job he was loaned.

I call it Quid Pro Ego.

People worried about his rising poll numbers shouldn't even bother. I've said it once and I'll repeat it again: By November Trump won't be able to get elected dog catcher due to the human toll his stewardship will cost this nation not to mention the trillions of dollars his ineptness destroyed.

The words don't do justice to what happened tonight. Probably the most honest thing he's ever said. It laid bare the corrupt black hole that holds his dead soul.

#3 I hate to say this but the dead don't vote and the lost money may be blamed on China while the credit for the bailout will go to trampy.

Those that are dying are Trump's supporters -- the elderly.

He may not care. After he steals a few billion he can escape to Russia and live out his days swimming in soviet pee.

Another aspect of this...

If Pres Trump is doing this publicly, what are he and his campaign doing behind the scenes?

How will it work when Trump says "I protected you" but every family has someone they've buried?

Petty, vindictive, piece of human filth.

Republicans - You people suck.

It might be a good idea for the Dem Govs to offer to kiss donald's ring (or wherever he wants).

He'll first need to deal with his own germophobia.

I watched the signing ceremony in the WH yesterday for the COVID-19 reef package. This vindictive POS didn't have a single Democrat at the ceremony. What a POS.

Then it dawned on me. All the top Republicans, his cabinet members, all standing right next to each other, nothing even beginning to resemble social/physical distancing. He then signs the bill, hands McConnell the pen, then reaches into a box of pens and hands them out to everyone else.

Re #12

Yeah I saw that. Disgusting display.

Boris Johnson and his staff got taken out by the virus because of his arrogant behavior. Taking out the leadership is goal of a foreign invader. Trumpy is making it easy for the virus.

Trumpy is like a peacock displaying his self centered arrogance for all to see. He is so proud of his ignorance.

But the virus is not impressed.

abused women should also be more appreciative of their abusive husbands.

Trump sees this as a negotiation, and when the other side is getting more and more desperate, it means Trump has more leverage.

That's why Trump thinks he's winning.

And when Trump thinks he's winning, Deplorables think America is winning.

Does SJHAMILTON really think anyone is going to read his boring nonsense. I could get better opinions from my 10 year old grandson.

If you look closely you can seen the drool dripping from some of their chins.
