Thank you President Donald J. Trump for choosing the lesser of two evils.

Almost all countries have increasing deaths per day, so peaking in two weeks is unlikely. But a stable genius would know that.

So then, this too is a bad thing from Trump? jeez.

He's in a tough spot. He can try to deal with the virus, or he can try to deal with the economy. He can't do both since they are mutually exclusive at this point.

His choice will be decided by which he thinks he can best blame someone else for the other. Given all the "Gyna Bad" rhetoric of late, I can guess which way he will go.

jeez.

It's more of a "about ------- time, moron" type of response. But, take it as you inevitably will.

It's bad.
It is the lesser of two evils.
That's why you oppose it.

Trump is erratic and dangerous. A few days ago he was building false hope and feeding the ideals of those who claim the media is overblowing the pandemic by saying it's fine for much of the country to soon go on about their business. Now he's saying we need to wait another month. What's his new message going to be tomorrow? Maybe he will claim the virus is only confined to cities in states that didn't vote for him? Who knows! The man is seriously mentally ill.

He wanted to open things up sooner rather than later because of the economic and societal costs. Who wants things shut down one second longer than necessary? Crazy right? Based on conditions he decided it was more prudent to keep the shutdown going. The insanity! It's like he's evaluating what his advisers say and making rational decisions even if they're not popular. What a wack job.

trump IS a whack job.

yesterday he was bragging about his ratings.

today it's his hair.

I can't believe someone actually got through to Trump and finally made him understand the difference between short term gain vs long term benefit.

So far, Trump's past ridiculous pronouncements have had a very short lifespan.

Our President Trump appears to be choosing what is best for the American People. At least for now.

Interesting declaration, "Buffoon extends restrictions ..."

It did no such thing. It has no power to do so. It merely makes suggestions called "guidelines."

"Our President Trump appears to be choosing what is best for the American People. At least for now."

Don't make me laugh. Trump doesn't care about the American People.. He just wants to get Doral and Mar-a-Lago open again. He's losing a ton of money.

What you say is fair enough.

Trump has extended social distancing until May, which appears to be what is best for the American People. At least for now.

So, if this is indeed the right thing to do is it OK to say, "Trump made the right decision."? Is that even permissible on the DR?

Maybe. Then again, maybe he does, in fact, care about the American people. At the end of the day I'm not a mind-reader so I don't know for sure either way. Neither do you.

#20 | Posted by JeffJ at 2020-03-31 02:12 PM | Reply

he doesn't care.

his actions speak volumes. he's more concerned about his hair and his ratings and himself than any american.

#21 | Posted by Alexandrite at 2020-03-31 02:17 PM | Reply

#21 Typically with presidents their ratings are mostly tied to their performance. Maybe his motivations for doing the right things are messed up - that he's doing it for the ratings, but if he's doing some things right who gives a ---- how he got there?

#22 | Posted by JeffJ at 2020-03-31 02:24 PM | Reply

Know what Trump thinks? Of course we do. No mind reading required. You merely watch what he does, and what he does means he thinks like a sociopath.

#23 | Posted by Zed at 2020-03-31 02:24 PM | Reply

"but if he's doing some things right who gives a ---- that it took 3,431 dead Americans and counting to get there?"

Obviously not JeffJ.

Deplorables don't care about the body count.

While they cheer the mass graves being dug.

Nobody has to be a mind reader to figure out Trump. He's like a human lab rat.
