Too bad pig brain in chief didn't use his stable genius-ness to bolster other fine demonstrations of his tremendous leadership abilities. For instance, his diplomatic skills with non-tyrannic national leaders.

Let us see if he can ride into re-election on interring 70K children after separating them from the parents who were deported back to the place they fled from.

We are soooooooo muuuuuuuch safer am I right?

The wealth transfer is going faster than I expected. Wilbur probably sold all his stocks before and is happy to buy the assets of the newly poor for pennies on the dollar.

Missouri already had a 3 week delay in processing claims after the previous week. Had a friend lose his job last friday. Said he wasn't even able to submit his claim because the system was too busy.

Obama's fault? China's fault? The Democrats maybe?

Surely there is someone Humpy can blame this on! Trumpy is not responsible. We all know that by now. Trumpy is a very irresponsible leader in fact.

It's obviously not Trumpy's fault. He is not responsible for anything. He is just the president. What did you expect from him? You actually expected calm steady transparent leadership in a time of crisis? Rational leadership of the nation in a time of crisis? That wasn't part of the deal. The deal was Trumpy gets to win and troll the liberals and stuff his pockets with pilfered loot. Not have to work to save American lives.

The number of lives lost in each region of the world is directly related to the amount of preparation and mitigation actions taken by each leader.

(In Trumpy's case we would use the term "leader" very loosely.)

Trumplethinskin's response to this was akin to Bush2 needing to be shown the Katrina flood on news feed reruns before he took it seriously. That actually happened by the way. Meanwhile... as clueless Bush2 was congratulating Brownie for his "heck uv a jab"... the righty tightys were blaming the victims for not being prepared and the liberals making too big a deal out of it.

There is a lot to hate about republicl0wnery... especially of trust fund brat variety

Was Trump not warned repeatedly of this possibility? Did he not enact the tariffs that he was warned in 2017 would jeopardize the US's ability to react during a pandemic? Did the Department of Health and Human Services not actually conduct a test that confirmed the warnings the Obama administration passed on to Trump alerting him to shortcomings in the existing response plans? Was US Intelligence services not feeding him a wealth of information throughout January warning him of the seriousness of this threat this virus presented and did he not go on to downplay it and refer to public warnings and calls for greater action a hoax being carried out by the Democrats and certain media companies?

Is Trump not the person ultimately responsible for overseeing our public health and national security responses? Was the sign on Harry Truman's desk a lie?

Spending critical weeks ignoring the virus, claiming it's a hoax, and encouraging people to continue going around spreading the virus is absolutely his fault, and the economic impact is worse because of him.

The whole world knows Trumplethinskin was working on a tough guy image in regards to China and all his tough tariffs talk. He painted news of the virus as the demonstration of an adversarial relationship between the perceived "enemies" du jour... in this case, it was China and the ever-present Democrats...repeatedly calling the matter a hoax... spun by one or the other for the sole purpose of ruining him.

Boaz,

Question.

You know in the military, when someone takes over a squad, they have 30 days to implement, then the squad is the new leader's responsibility. Why does Trump get a three year pass?

This number is going to keep on going. It will not surprise me at all to hit 19-20 million in a month. 1/2 of the country is still being stupid - primarily red states who bought into Trump calling it a hoax. Thankfully at least Florida is going to do something state wide finally. A month from now Florida is going to have over 100k cases alone. Even with a lot less people Mississippi is still trying for the title though.

10 million jobless in 2 weeks. That's what a pandemic will do when coupled with denial at the highest governmental levels.

I do not believe we have yet to really understand the long lasting ripples this calamity will have on our society for years to come. This is much bigger than 9/11. We just don't fully grasp it yet.

Apparently EVERYBODY saw the "lights blinking red" warnings except for Drumpf, who seemed to think that he had successfully hermetically sealed the country in a racist bubble. Hell, even Rethug senators saw the apocalypse coming and sold their stock in order to financially gain from classified briefings, that tells you how seriously they took it. Hair Furor was busy hanging out at Mangolago, golfing every weekend and holding his KKKlan rallies when he should have been sequestered in the WH working on plans for mass testing and contingencies for how the federal government could assist the states.

Yesterday I saw a list of the top ten countries for numbers of diagnosed cases of COVID-45, on top was the United States in spite of testing late and still not testing enough which has lead to massive under-reporting, you know which country was NOT on the list? South Korea! That's because they followed the same model the Obama Administration followed with the H1N1 pandemic; test, test, test, test early, test often, backtrace those diagnosed with the virus and test those they came into contact with and then quarantine them. It's not a new theory, it's been done before, successfully in 2009 and they left the Drumpf Regime a freaking PLAY BOOK!. Trumpublicans are absolute, total, freaking MORONS!

9-11? It's much larger than the financial collapse of 2008 and it is virtually instant. Both 9-11 and the financial collapse took time to have maximum effect nationwide and globally. Not so with this collapse. Instant 10 million unemployed. No idea when economic activity can resume...

#47 | Posted by GalaxiePete at 2020-04-02 04:48 PM | Reply

Other than the horrible, unlawful war that 9-11 gave the Bush Admin cover for, 9-11 was nowhere near on the scale of this Drumpf made disaster! IF everything turns out right, ONLY 100k to 250k Americans will die, THAT'S BEING ASPIRATIONAL! Seems like just yesterday he was touting the fact that only 15 were diagnosed with the disease, and soon it would be zero, and it was going to magically disappear in the spring. Many thousands of small businesses will curl up and die. Some big businesses will also kick the bucket. So many small businesses live hand-to-mouth, and can't afford a one or two month disruption, and this promises to be closer to at least six months. No, short of a miraculous, cheap treatment (which ain't coming no matter what he says) or a quick vaccine (another year away) Combover Quisling has effectively guaranteed that the US comes out the other side of this in a full-blown depression, so MUCH WINNING!
