In just six weeks, the US death toll from coronavirus went from zero to more than 10,000. That grim milestone was reached Monday, shortly after officials warned this will be the toughest week yet in the pandemic.

"And again, when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that's a pretty good job we've done." ~T.Rump

What he didn't say was that it would be a zero, preceded by a 1 and 3 other zeros...

All because Trump shut down our response.

How's your 401k?

How are Trump's Facebook numbers?

A few hundred thousand Americans dead, but what about the economy?

All Trumper talking points.

This whole coronavirus thing has sure muzzled the DR righties. Is it because they are mostly old and sick, or because even they can't think of anything to say that would defend Dr. Bonespurs?

If I know trump voters, many are counting on an early inheritance due to covid and the conspiratorial minded might wonder if eliminating death taxes was how the GOP planned for a pandemic.

Whatever the death toll is, trump will brag about it being lower than what it would have been without his genius leadership (full of delays, denials, downplaying the threat, and not doing everything he could).

Then he'll say anyone who DID die is not his fault, it's the media or obama's fault, or liberals somehow.

And his flock of morons will believe it and repeat it.

Same old same old, just with higher stakes.

Trump is as unmoved by 10,000 dead as he will be for 100,000 dead.

I really expect to find that he snuck out to golf.

Some of them are starting to recover, as in casting shade on Dr. Fauci---For having a medical opinion that contradicts Trump's medical opinion.

They pop in from time to time and put the blame squarely where it belongs.

On MSNBC, Hillary Clinton, Joe and Hunter Biden, Barrack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, etc.

Come on, I know we can do better! Get the virus spreading in the ALF's in Florida and Arizona - then we'll see some Italy level deaths per capita./s

It didn't have to be this way.

When the final body count hits 1xx,xxx Trump will declare victory because his high-end figure of 200,000 US deaths will be higher than actual. So much winning!!

Now, where's that parade? Re-elect ME!

Cuomo just stated the total US deaths are 11,602 at 11:06am EST.

Sadly, we might see it top 13,000 before the day is over.

It's so sad. In every sense of the word, the entire Democrat party has turned into a bunch of Glenn Becks. The same person they hated for years is what they have become. Ignoring what is good and what has been done right, and focusing only on results that may or may not be problematic, but they make for good headlines so yippee!!

"Sadly, we might see it top 13,000 before the day is over."

We are going to see a lot more than that before this is over, a LOT more. The true failure in these situations is in the party not in power raising expectations so high that they aren't achievable in reality.

#24 | Posted by humtake at 2020-04-07 01:31 PM | Reply

My guess is that we'll stop seeing inane comparisons of Trump's response with Covid and Obama's response to H1N1 where 17,000 died over more than a year.

Trump's body count will pass that in around 1 month.

See? Trump is 12+ times more effective in getting Americans killed during a viral pandemic than Obama was.

Today we pass the total number of deaths over the course of 12 months for Swine Flu under Obama.

Those Swine Flu comparisons the idiot Right Wingers were touting aren't looking so good anymore, huh?
