Joe Biden said Thursday that he believes President Donald Trump will try and delay the November election. "Mark my words, I think he is going to try to kick back the election somehow, come up with some rationale why it can't be held," the former vice president and apparent Democratic presidential nominee said during an online fundraiser.

Good luck with that Orange Adolf.
The only thing he'll do is try to get us in a war with someone. Likely Iran.

"The Trump campaign issued a statement Friday, saying, "Those are the incoherent, conspiracy theory ramblings of a lost candidate who is out of touch with reality"

Where they referring to the candidate that suggested we should inject the sick with disinfectant?

The least likely possibility is that Trump will run an honest campaign.

A coup attempt? It's been a possibility since day one. The dynamic is simple: Donald retains power or is chased to ground by his enemies. It's the same problem any dictator has.

I don't put anything past Trump. Not even a false flag that will get hundreds of American soldiers killed.

Absolutely no reason to, based on history.

A curiosity of mine is who will be standing in back of him on television when he announces the November elections won't take place as planned.

"A curiosity of mine is who will be standing in back of him on television when he announces the November elections won't take place as planned."

A whole new assembly of dour looking bobbleheads, I assume . . . wearing military uniform with lots of brass and salad on their jackets.

Seriously ZED, unless Trump declares Marshal Law, I don't see how it's up to him to cancel the November election. Even though it's a federal election, I think it's still up to the States.

Like Biden, I think that he'll settle on sabotage.

If anybody cares to get that deep in the weeds over Trump's effort to cancel the November election, here's aN article that covers all possible scenarios of why he can't.

www.vox.com ~ WHY TRUMP CAN'T CANCEL THE ELECTION.

I can see now why the Senate is finally starting to get nervous over Trump's erratic behavior. They have a lot to worry about.

#9 Agreed, but the GOP can obstruct voting on a massive scale in blue districts. That would be enough, and you would be nave to think that isn't being planned for.

Probably was going to happen anyways. The article points out many Republicans are seeing parallels of 2018/2020 to 2006/2008 with the referendum against Bush and the Iraq War even before the pandemic.

Boaz has been itching for a civil war since a black man was elected President in 2008.

12 years later, he may get his opportunity.

I can see where this election is going to get very complicated, both before AND AFTER.

One of the things I got from the article is the date of the election is carved in stone and without it, on January 20, 2021, Trump and Pence are no longer officially and constitutionally president and vice president. We could end up with a Pro tem but it won't be either one of them. Under one of the circumstances described in the article it could even be Nancy Pelosi.

Congress should start getting very nervous any day now. Maybe even today.

It should be perfectly clear to anyone that laws, the constitution, rules, etc. are completely irrelevant.

It comes down to what President Zero thinks he can get away with, which, pretty much means, what he can get away with. As the constraint on President Zero will have to come from within his own party. Which won't constrain him.

Keep in mind that republican senators and representatives have demonstrated zero initiative in stopping anything, legal or illegal, that President Zero does.

Rs won't constrain IMPOTUS from anything he wants to do, and Rs have a majority on the Supreme Court so I wouldn't look for much help there. Most of the military still takes their oaths seriously so I don't think they would go along with him.

and Rs have a majority on the Supreme Court

I think Chief Justice Roberts would swear in Pelosi as POTUS.

HORSTNGRABEN

Read the article. It has a lot to say about what happens to the electoral vote if Blue States hold an election and Red States chose not to participate. It's not all about the President. U.S. Senators are on the same ballot. If Red States sit it out in November, loss of those Senate seats has an automatic date certain too.

This is nothing to make guesses about.

"Mark my words, I think he is going to try to kick back the election somehow, come up with some rationale why it can't be held," Biden. Evidence or wishful thinking on the part of the weakest candidate the Democrat party has put forward in 40 years? In a debate with Trump he will get savaged worse than he was in the primary debates. He is a faded 70+ year old man with many skeletons in his closet that will come out to haunt him. If the Ds want to win, they have to have someone to vote for, not just notTrump.

Twin is 100% correct about this.
The GOnP loses either way.
