Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Saturday, April 25, 2020

Dan McCready: By now most of us have seen the photos from the Wisconsin primary, where voters had to stand for hours in lines that wrapped around city blocks in cold, pouring rain. To exercise what was supposed to be their most sacred democratic right, people had to risk catching the deadly coronavirus -- and several did.

"If we don't legislate now to make mail-in voting easier in November, the Republican Party will just steal another election."

That's not the #1 reason Trump is trying to shut down the Post Office but the thought is probably stirring somewhere in the back of his head. The threat alone would probably throw any mail-in legislation into chaos.

Sometimes I wonder if the Pres rump and his campaign want a bad second wave of COVID-19 so that the election will be disrupted. It wouldn't surprise me based upon how Pres Trump seems to view Americans as expendable in his re-election efforts.

I'm sure he has lots of irons in the fire but so far all of his schemes have blown up in his face.

He's really just pushed it too far to be considered electable again. He only has one battleground state left (Florida) and that's on thin ice.

There's a New York Times has an article today about Senate GOPers getting nervous about Trump's erratic behavior taking them all down.

Biden seems to think that Trump will at least try to take advantage of such a second wave.

I wish that were true but nobody thought he could get elected in 2016. There are lots of Trump flags flying in my neighborhood and his polls still leave a second term in the realm of possibility. And if you think this term was bad wait 'till you see what a second would be like. And then there's his third term, since Ds messed up his first.

Nearly as bad as a second term is thinking about what the lame duck session would be like if he doesn't win.

Name a single national election that has been significantly influenced by voter fraud.

"The election fraud committed in my race was the largest case in modern American history. My opponent hired a felon, Leslie McCrae Dowless, who promised to deliver unbelievable absentee ballot margins, as he had done in past elections. Mr. Dowless hired workers who went to voters' doorsteps in poor, rural Bladen County, N.C., and "helped" them request, fill out and turn in their ballots. That help included forging signatures and filling in vote choices, and possibly even discarding ballots. The operation targeted African-Americans who typically voted for Democrats. It also appeared the county elections board may have also leaked early vote totals to Republicans."

You're an idiot.

WOW - How can anyone of you think that voting by mail will work? In this day and age, what percentage of people don't have acceptable ID? 0.00003?

Yard signs don't mean much. Elections are won and lost in battleground states. Biden is leading by large margins in the states that matter . . . and Trump is on a teeter-totter in Florida.

It may be too late to help Trump in Florida but Gov. DeSantis made the following announcement which looks good on paper but not much help for the unemployment problem.

Tallahassee, Fla. " Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced Aerion Supersonic will construct a new state-of-the-art campus " Aerion Park " in Melbourne, Florida. Aerion Park will form a new global headquarters and integrated campus for research, design, build and maintenance of the company's supersonic aircraft. The new project involves a multi-year $300 million investment that is expected to generate at least 675 jobs in Florida by 2026."

"We are building the next generation of high-speed transportation networks that will revolutionize global mobility without leaving a carbon footprint on our world," said Tom Vice, Aerion Chairman, President & CEO. "Our AS2 business jet " the world's first privately built supersonic aircraft " is the first stage in that exciting endeavor. Having evaluated a number of potential locations for our new home, we are excited to partner with Florida and the Melbourne community to create a sustainable supersonic future."

Thankfully I live in a state where I can request a mail in ballot which I will be doing.

...has been for decades.
Voter Fraud, voter suppression,
hacked voting machines, making
it hard for minorities to vote,
those, that are not locked up
on trumped up charges...

Indentured Servitude/Jim Crow/Oppression
continues throughout most of the
Old South, and through much of the
Midwest...

America is it's own Worst Enemy...
