The federal government placed orders for well over 100,000 new body bags to hold victims of COVID-19 in April, according to internal administration documents obtained by NBC News, as well as public records. The biggest set was earmarked for purchase the day after President Donald Trump projected that the U.S. death toll from the coronavirus might not exceed 50,000 or 60,000 people.

A family member is right now in ICU and intubated. No, he does not have COVID-19. But what he has would have killed him without an intubation machine available. The reason it is available is that most people are staying inside and the disease is not as bad as it could be.

COVID-19 will rage through various Red States soon. Republican governors are vicious fools. Then we get a second national wave in the Fall. Donald Trump is a vicious fool.

Grim. Got to get ready for that resurgence, I suppose.

But by all means, Trumpists, keep crying about the "tyranny" and the "hoax" and the "unfair treatment" of your poor President Pudgeboy.

Maybe you could fire Fauci, that'll fix everything.

It was nice of the White House to buy all those Ivanka Trump designer bags.
