The belief in a trickle-down economy -- or the idea that America's wealthy will foster a rebound by providing jobs to others -- makes the pandemic worse and hinders an economic recovery.

Decades of tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy have proven trickle down doesn't work.

If 60,000,000 million people could not afford to be out of work for four weeks it is clear that trickle down has failed.

Trickle down works great for the tricklers. They get to piss on everyone else and we all thank them for their largesse.

They get to feel important and benevolent, give all the proles "good jobs", while being exempted from taxation in proportion to their income and influence.

Like the nobles of the ancien regime, they are effectively tax exempt, the higher up the food chain they get. The more tax exempt they are.

Until you get massive corporations being paid to exist by government in the form of direct sudidy or uncontrolled Monopoly, or ideally, for them, both.
