Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer who alleged Joe Biden sexually assaulted her 27 years ago, is being represented by a prominent lawyer and political donor to President Donald Trump's 2016 Republican campaign.

Is Wigdor also going to represent the conga line of the child-raping orange schittstain's accusers?

Can you tell what's coming next? In addition to causing the current COVID plague Dr. Fauci is a serial abuser of women.

You have no choice but to vote for Donald Trump. Really, no choice at all.

Judging by the near unanimity against Reade by Democrats on this page alone how likely do you think it would be for an attorney who was a Democrat to be willing or would be able to convince his partners to sign off on the representation? Veracity of the allegation aside, under present circumstances it's probably a career ender for any attorney who is a Democrat.

"His firm also denied there was a political motivation for his decision to represent Reade in her accusations against Trump's presumptive Democratic opponent in the November election."

Hilarious!

75,000 deaths and some people think that improbable accusations should turn voters away from Biden and switch to Trump where far more accusations of even worse crimes are known to be true. But Evangelical Christians don't care, he could assault, rape, and do whatever he wanted and then brag about it on a radio show broadcast nationally and those hypocrites would still vote for him.
Did I mention that I have zero respect for anyone who calls themself an Evangelical Christian and Ihave such hypocrites in my own family. Oh, and yes, they are idiotic Trump supporters who overlook his crimes.

Yeah, I'm sure all she had to do was pick up the phone and Democratic attorneys were lining up to represent her.

I do not believe you should judge someone's story or truthfulness by the political stance of their lawyer. This, in my opinion, is a non-story.

I have other problems with Tara Reade's accusations. But I don't think the fact she has a right-leaning person representing her is in any way a strike against her credibility.

#8 | Posted by gtbritishskull at 2020-05-08 11:23 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Nope. No political motivation.

Nothing to see here.

What we need here is Trumpy's personal lawyer filing charges against Biden.

Never seen a more corrupt bunch and they do their corruption right in front of you!

And then they smile and dare you to do anything about it.

"But I don't think the fact she has a right-leaning person representing her is in any way a strike against her credibility."

But when that attorney claims there is no political motivation it is just laughable. Do you honestly believe that same attorney would pick up the cases of the numerous women accusing Trump of even worse crimes? Puhleeeeeez!

#10 | Posted by danni at 2020-05-08 11:27 AM | Reply

she must be heard and believed!!

#11 | Posted by Maverick at 2020-05-08 11:27 AM | Reply

The people who believe this is a compelling revelation are the same people who didn't think this was news two weeks ago because left leaning reporters refused to report it.

#12 | Posted by Ben_Berkkake at 2020-05-08 11:33 AM | Reply

So she hired a Repugnant to represent her. Like that wouldn't happen. Damn, grasp at straws if you must.

#13 | Posted by docnjo at 2020-05-08 11:33 AM | Reply

And she is fat and white and maybe conservative. More than enough not to believe her.

#14 | Posted by docnjo at 2020-05-08 11:36 AM | Reply

Because this whole thing is little more than a political ploy.

You knew that when the right accused the Kavanaugh accusation as being politics they were saying that because they were going to play politics with sexual assault.

Which they did when they tried to with Mueller and they're doing so now with Biden.

All while ignoring the sexual predator they support with cultist zeal.

There are at least 4 women who have accused enemies of trump of sexual attacks. Three have been proven false and two have now admitted they were paid to lie.

Without strong physical evidence I will not believe any accusations favoring the GOP fascists.

The issue is not whether her attorney is a Republican. The issue is what has motivated this attorney to take her case.

Any lawyer taking on a case should have only one objective - to represent the interests of the client.

Will Douglas Wigdor put Reade's interests ahead of maximizing political pain for Biden and political gain for Trump? Not.a chance in my opinion, which is why this appointment is worthy of scrutiny. As long as Reade's road and Trump's road run parallel, Wigdor will travel them both, but as soon as they diverge, I know which one I expect Wigdor to take.

#16 #MeToo

Reade told me last year that she gave a supervisor a written statement voicing her complaints about how she'd been treated in the office. The complaint was limited to the harassment allegation, not the misconduct allegation, she told me this year.

I helped Reade in 2019 request documents from a few offices to try to find the record. (Personnel files wouldn't be released to a third party, like a reporter.) First, she put in a request with the Senate secretary's office, which maintains some employment records. That office provided a copy of her payroll history, which confirmed her dates of employment and salary.

We next tried the Office of Personnel Management, which maintains federal records of employment, but the office was not able to track down a file in its electronic system. I then checked with a source who worked in a warehouse across the country where it would most likely have ended up to see if there was a physical file stashed there. He couldn't find one.
One place the complaint could have landed is back in the Senate office, though that wouldn't be proper protocol. Biden is now under pressure to check files maintained by the University of Delaware. He gave the university his Senate documents in 2012 under the condition they'd remain sealed until two years after his time in office. The time frame was extended when he decided to run for president. . . .

All of this leaves me where no reporter wants to be: mired in the miasma of uncertainty. I wanted to believe Reade when she first came to me, and I worked hard to find the evidence to make certain others would believe her, too. I couldn't find it. None of that means Reade is lying, but it leaves us in the limbo of Me Too: a story that may be true but that we can't prove.

Maybe Biden could let this reporter, Laura McGann, along with Jane Mayer and Ronan Farrow go through his papers at the University of Delaware, looking for references to Reade and report of their findings.

This other lawyer of hers also concerns me:

Over the weekend, another attorney, William Moran, told the AP he was working with Reade.

Moran, who works at a law firm in Columbia, Maryland, previously wrote and edited for Sputnik, a news agency founded and supported by the Russian state-owned media company Rossiya Segodnya. A January 2017 report released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on Russia's interference in the 2016 campaign said Sputnik was part of "Russia's state-run propaganda machine," which "contributed to the influence campaign by serving as a platform for Kremlin messaging to Russian and international audiences."

Ballsey Ford who?

Attorneys Debra Katz and Lisa Banks have deep ties to high-ranking members of the Democratic Party. California Sen. Dianne Feinstein recommended the two to Blasey Ford after she came forward with allegations of sexual assault against Kavanaugh during his Senate confirmation hearing.

You've forgotten already??

Absolutely nothing political from those two.
And when they scrubbed #metoo from their bios after starting work with Biden? Nothing there either...

I don't think it does, or should, matter the party affiliation of a lawyer representing a person.

What I do hope for is that the lawyer represents the interests of the person 100%, and does not have some alternate agenda for performing the representation.

Oh man, these didn't age well!

Turns out her lawyer was also on Putin's payroll and helped spread Russian propaganda since 2016. ...The same year Russia was trying to interfere in US elections.

Joe Biden imitating Trump:

"Ya know, they even got this Biden hater from the right going after me. Why is this person even allowed on the case? It's obviously a hoax and a frame-job.......he's actually a doner who gave money. Gave money, can you believe it? And now he's on the case. He should be disbarred. Of all the people they could hire, this is the guy? It's totally corrupt."

Sound familiar?

Obvious Russian asset Tara Reade is what happens when a long-term cocaine user quits snorting, years later. Her fantasy finger-bang story is truly pathetic.
