Donald Trump abruptly ended a press conference on coronavirus testing after a testy exchange with a female reporter of Asian descent who questioned why he advised her to ask China about the global death rate. He then sparred with a female CNN reporter before leaving the Rose Garden.

OMG, Trump is such a bully and a control freak. He has all the makings of a petty tyrant, which the GOP seems inclined to let him be if he wins re-election.

Donald Trump has refused to make clear what offence he believes Barack Obama has committed, a day after suggesting he was responsible for the "biggest political crime in American history, by far".

Projection, anyone?

Girl power:

Yamiche Alcindor @Yamiche

Why did Trump end WH briefing?

@weijia asked Trump why he sees this as "a global competition" when 80K have died. He said: "Ask China."

He tried to move on but wouldn't let @kaitlancollins ask her Q.

He called on me but I motioned for Kaitlin to ask her Q so Trump walked off.

Weijia Jiang @weijia

@kaitlancollins allowed me to ask a follow up question after the President called on her, and then @Yamiche deferred to Kaitlin. I am fortunate to work alongside them.

Obamagate: Unidentified Crimes of the B. Hussein Administration

Rucker, "In one of your Mother's Day tweets, you appeared to accuse President Obama of the biggest political crime in American history, by far' " those were your words. What crime exactly are you accusing President Obama of committing, and do you believe the Justice Department should prosecute him?" Rucker asked, during a news conference that was ostensibly about the coronavirus.

"Uh, Obamagate. It's been going on for a long time," [Trump] began. "It's been going on from before I even got elected, and it's a disgrace that it happened, and if you look at what's gone on, and if you look at now, all this information that's being released " and from what I understand, that's only the beginning " some terrible things happened, and it should never be allowed to happen in our country again."

Projection, anyone?

Trump is talking about the Russia investigations. Why do you think they're pushing so hard on Flynn?

Trump and Barr are trying to claim that Obama was illegally behind the "Russia hoax" investigations because he was determined to undermine Trump's presidency. This is why they're criminalizing the entire FBI counterintelligence probes.

Of course they forget that the Russia investigations started well before the election and were initiated because of what RUSSIA was caught doing through routine surveillance - where dozens of Trumpers happened to turn up as well, hence becoming targets because of their connection with Russians, not because they belonged to Trump's campaign. And if Obama had wanted to submarine Trump he had more than enough speculative evidence to have gone public BEFORE the election, which would have secured Trump's loss even with Hillary's shortcomings.

But that's why Jeff has taken to now calling it Russiagate. The right wing revision machine is churning at full power.

This is getting ------- wild. He really hates Collins with a passion. Smart, confident, and pretty? Trump's ultimate triple threat; he just can't handle it. Today was proof positive. I bet he didn't even mean to allow Collins a question, she was wearing a mask and he probably didn't recognize her. The second he did recognize her, he tried moving on, suggesting that "I pointed at you and you didn't respond, so moving on." She was walking up to the microphone when he tried to move on to the subsequent reporter. He is deathly afraid of Kaitlin Collins.

The gal is turning into one of my heroes.

#11 Let's not forget the GOP is funded by the NRA, and the NRA is a front for Russian money.

I would be pretty surprised if it's the only front for Russian money funding the GOP.

It's not. Are you unaware of Mitch McConnell's super PAC?

How Putin's oligarchs funneled millions into GOP campaigns

Len Blavatnik, a dual U.S.-U.K. citizen and one of the largest donors to GOP political action committees in the 2015-16 election cycle. Blavatnik's family emigrated to the U.S. in the late '70s from the U.S.S.R. and he returned to Russia when the Soviet Union began to collapse in the late '80s.

In 2015-16, everything changed. Blavatnik's political contributions soared and made a hard right turn as he pumped $6.35 million into GOP political action committees, with millions of dollars going to top Republican leaders including Sens. Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio and Lindsey Graham.

McConnell surely knew as a participant in high level intelligence briefings in 2016 that our electoral process was under attack by the Russians. Two weeks after the Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence issued a joint statement in October 2016 that the Russian government had directed the effort to interfere in our electoral process, McConnell's PAC accepted a $1 million donation from Blavatnik's AI-Altep Holdings. The PAC took another $1 million from Blavatnik's AI-Altep Holdings on March 30, 2017, just 10 days after former FBI Director James Comey publicly testified before the House Intelligence Committee about Russia's interference in the election.

The plan is to re-litigate 2016 election, and perhaps charge some people through the Durham investigation. He wants revenge on all of his political enemies and with Barr's help it may prove to be more than rhetorical shenanigans. He wants to "Lock 'em up!" for real this time.

Asha Rangappa @AshaRangappa_

Can someone ask Trump why, if as he has claimed "Article II gives him the right to do whatever he wants," the same wouldn't apply to Obama? I'd *really* like to hear his answer

Bill Barr, subscribes to the unitary executive theory and believes that Presidents have the power to start and stop investigations at will, and can't be criminally liable. So under *Barr's own theory* anything Obama did with his law enforcement would be totally legit

If Donald Trump is this crazy at 80,000 American deaths we can only imagine his behavior at 160,000.

The ironic thing being, it's largely his own actions that make 160,000 a possibility.

It's probably their best path to victory in November, which bodes very very poorly for us.

They'll basically burn it all down to make sure Trump wins again. That's why the Barr investigation is being slow played and letting out constant hints and leaks.

Turning the Presidency into a tin pot dictatorship is their plan to stay in power in November.

Dude. They've been winning since 2010.

They took Congress. Blocked Obama from seating a Supreme Court Justice. Won the presidency. Filled the executive branch with crooks and thieves (CEOs and Billionaires). Filled the courts with extreme right wing conservatives zealots. Rolled back dozens of environmental protection laws. Rolled back Corporate regulations and safeguards. Cut taxes on the extremely wealthy. Pocketed every penny of it. Got Trump through impeachment looking like the victim. Got conservatives to blame China for the pandemic sweeping across America. Got conservatives to blame local government for trying to safeguard them from COVID19. Are currently terrorizing to governor of Michigan.

Even if Trump doesn't manage to delay the election in November, he still has a good chance of being re-elected.

Your definition of winning isn't theirs.

Their definition of failure isn't yours.

They're winning. America is failing.

These people have convinced themselves our country is detrimental to their success. They've decided to kill to golden goose for some quick eggs.

donald is in a tough spot. Other than the adulating crowds of hand picked morons at his "rallies", he obviously hates the job.

That said, he desperately needs to not lose the election, since he couldn't handle that, either.

Maybe he'll pull a Mulroney and resign just before the election and let Pence eat the loss.
