Authorities in the Chinese city of Wuhan plan to test all 11 million residents for the novel coronavirus by the end of next week in a massive push to extinguish any remnants of the virus from the original epicenter of the global pandemic. The all-encompassing mission -- announced Monday and paid for by district governments -- contrasts with shortages of testing kits in some other countries, including the United States, where people have complained about not being able to get a test despite having coronavirus symptoms.

After the cluster was discovered, all 5,000 residents of the Sanmin compound " where 20 people had tested positive for the coronavirus during the lockdown " were ordered to undergo nucleic acid tests to screen for the virus and its disease, covid-19.

But Wuhan authorities decided to go further. The city's epidemic prevention and control headquarters issued an emergency notice Monday ordering all district management units to submit plans by Tuesday for completing nucleic acid testing of all residents in their jurisdiction within 10 days.

"It is important to realize that a decisive result does not equal a decisive victory, lowering the emergency response level does not equal lowering defenses," said Wang Zhonglin, a top official in the Communist Party in Wuhan, according to the state-run Changjiang Daily. "We must not be careless or lax," he told a video conference of officials called to respond to a sudden spate of cases in the city.

As of the time I write this, the US has given
9,619,855 tests for the coronavirus since the very beginning of the pandemic. By the end of next week, Wuhan's officials have called for 11 million tests just in their district alone.

Stay tuned to see if they pull it off completely, but does anyone doubt that the Chinese will test more people in the next two weeks than the US has since the beginning of the virus' spread?

Where Orange Hitler works they test everyone every day. I wish I worked in an environment where everyone was tested but OH tells us that is unnecessary. I pray for those meat industry workers, Jared Kushner should be working along side of them to prove how safe it is.

"We think we have it very well under control. We have very little problem in this country at this moment " five. And those people are all recuperating successfully. But we're working very closely with China and other countries, and we think it's going to have a very good ending for it. So that I can assure you."
" Donald Trump

Only 5 cases in the US at the end of January, and we are definitely not going to see a good ending for. ROC LOLs because China takes 6 new cases seriously. Too bad we didn't take it seriously when we were at five.

Hey, you guys in Wuhan! Need more test kits or masks? I've got 'em right here. All American made. We've got only the best, appropriated from the best hospitals, taken from deliveries targeted at the states with highest populations, and even from hijacked trucks. Now...what am I bid?

"Too bad we didn't take it seriously when we were at five."

Too bad China didn't take it seriously when the outbreak first started in their country.

See how that works? Liberals love to praise China and wants America to be subservient to them, but they go through the same exact DR processes as everyone else. You respond to a threat based on the risk it proposes at the time. This is why college and actually being in a job helps. You learn these things naturally. It's a pretty simple concept and doesn't take much effort to understand.

"Stay tuned to see if they pull it off completely, but does anyone doubt that the Chinese will test more people in the next two weeks than the US has since the beginning of the virus' spread?"

Well, yeah, and it's very easy to doubt it. Their numbers are already completely under scrutiny by WAY more than just America. So why would you allow your partisan hate to try to validate their numbers when most of the world disagrees with you?

Zero evidence.

Where do you get that garbage? Makes you look stupid.

Too bad China didn't take it seriously when the outbreak first started in their country.

Do you realize there was not a test for Covid-19 at the onset of the outbreak? Do you understand that initially doctors treated the symptoms of the virus which presented as pneumonia and severe respiratory illness?

Unless someone was looking for a new coronavirus, they wouldn't have diagnosed a new coronavirus - at least until they had exhausted other treatments. Which means that the virus would have still spread in the intervening days and weeks before scientists actually identified what they were dealing with.

The notion that any nation would have immediately enacted draconian shutdown protocols before they even understood the new virus is divorced from human and state nature as we know them.

Did China squelch the doctor who tried to sound the alarm? Of course they did. Does anyone think Trump would have done anything differently if the NIH or CDC came to him with the same initial questions presented to China's government? Hell, Trump continues to downplay and dismiss the virus now after nearly 4 months of sound scientific findings, and you think he would have moved heaven and earth to keep it within US borders had the situation been reversed?

You're as stupid as you sound.

My two cents, the virus started in December in Wuhan. It was an epidemic that spread quickly and was identified as deadly the same month. The CCP's reaction? They sent thousands of infected individuals to Europe and America. Does that sound evil? The CV19 appeared a few days after Chinese New Year in Northern Italy and New York City. Surprise, both have large ethnic Chinese populations that travel home for that holiday. They accomplished their objective, they put their opponents in the same situation they found themselves in.

Doc, you're behind in the latest news.

Doctors at the Albert Schweitzer Hospital of Colmar in eastern France said they've found evidence that the earliest COVID-19 cases in the country can be traced back to November 16, according to a press release from the hospital on Thursday.

Chicago authorities are looking at deaths from November too to see if they missed potential Covid carriers. The virus was traveling the world long before your timeline for the very reason I mentioned above: No one knew it existed and no one was looking for an unknown pathogen until they were.

And Trump swallowed it hook, line, and sinker.

Regardless of China's culpability or nefarious intent, Trump failed all of us. It should be something that keeps him from being reelected, but he will be anyways. No doubt.
