Where Democrats think they can, "have their Moon Pie and eat it, too".

"It ain't like you have to talk about abortin' babies with confiscated huntin' rifles."

Apparently he made this for a group that had some success talking about UBI in rural Tennessee.

Funny... I've been hearing about how people are fleeing the cities because of COVID-19 and looking to move to the non-coasts of the Country.

Most of those broadcasts are on right-wing-leaning media.

What i wonder if they really understand about such a migration --- the people leaving the coasts and moving inland most likely will be bringing their political views, making solidly red states a bit purple-ish....

Would be interesting, though I doubt if it would happen in my lifetime....

But can you imagine the effects of the so-called educated elite moving into the heartland en masse?

It would be an interesting idea for roommates in NYC or SF who are all working from home, and are scheduled to continue to do so for the rest of 2020+, to pick up and move altogether to the Midwest.

Maybe even contact the local government economic development rep to negotiate a deal to bring in 4 earners in the low six figures.

Yes, it would be quite interesting.

imo, I wonder if the right-wing media proffering this "migration" is being more wishful than factual. And whether they understand the ramifications of their wishes?

Fun stuff...

Well, I am more concerned about the security of my computer than to click on random links in messages posted by random aliases.

You may have a different opinion, and you are quite entitled to hold that different opinion. But do not expect me to hold a similar opinion that I should click on all links proffered in a message.

If you want me to click on a link, you have to give me a description of what I am clicking on. That way I can ascribe what I click on to your alias here, and keep track of the security implications of what you proffer.

It is a simple thing to grasp, really.

You earn my trust for the links you proffer.

Many thanks for the more specific reference.

I did watch it.

I could feel my brain dripping out of my ears.

But it was funny. In a sad, "gawd, I hope this is not the new entertainment norm" way.

thx for the followup.

Well...the rural Americans who do vote do vote against their own best interests.

And the ones who don't vote are just plain stupid.

BTW I'm from a rural town in a blue state. Lets say you're not going to speak to many people there espousing progressive policies.
