Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Friday, May 15, 2020

The anonymous hackers this week crippled the computer systems of high-profile celebrity law firm Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks claiming to have stolen 756GB of highly-confidential documents including contracts and personal emails from the firm's client list, which includes Madonna, Drake, Lady Gaga, Elton John, Robert De Niro, U2 and Bruce Springsteen. ... "The ransom is now $42,000,000," the hackers said on their dark web site, seen by VICE News "The next person we'll be publishing is Donald Trump. There's an election going on, and we found a ton of dirty laundry on time."

I don't know. The cult of the rich white businessman is strong. He can kill 50,000 Americans and not lose a vote.

Surprised this hasn't made the front page. It's huge news in the legal community right now.

Trumpers won't care, in fact they will see Trumps grifting, sex scandals, lost lawsuits and bankruptcy filings as further validation of their choice to support him. He says what they think. He acts like they would like. He lives like they would like to live. Unless he were to rape their children, kick their dog, goose their wife or wreck their car into their house his supporters WILL NOT CARE. This leak will only turn some of those on the fence. Some, but not all...

First, the could get more money to RELEASE the info if it's really that bad.

Second, if saying he sexually assaults women on camera didn't make him lose, nothing will.

His cult loves that he's evil. They're evil too.

Wonder if Donald still loves him some wikileaks-ish hacking?

Pro tip to Hackers.
Release the info before you're raided.
NSA boys and girls will find you.

I hope the hackers are wearing gloves, you never know what you could catch from handling the diaper wearing orange clown's dirty laundry.

The rapes and murders, lies and theft, didn't do anything to sway them. Let's see what this treasure trove holds.

I don't quite get it.

1 ~~ These hackers are blackmailing Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks for $42 Million because they hacked the client files of the law firm's celebrity clients ~ none of which is Donald Trump.

2 ~~ If they don't get the $42 Million they're going to release the dirt they have on Donald Trump FOR FREE.

Oh Goody. I say go for it! ~~~ (before the FBI catches them) If this is a serious story, GRSM & S already has the FBI on their trail.

A story like this makes me wonder how the blackmailers expected to receive that $42 Million. Money can't be moved anywhere without leaving an electronic footprint.

Haven't they learned anything about sources that require a large deposit of cash to expose a political opponent's dirty laundry? Seems the Steel Dossier would have made them a little cautious, but no, Orange Man Bad, onward through the fog! Trump isn't a nice guy, a pure jerk many times during his life. But as public as his life has been, I seriously doubt there is much that we do not already know.

#10,11 Hacking extortionists almost always demand Bitcoin. Bitcoin uses a public blockchain, but accounts can be anonymous. I also doubt the hackers are US based.

Yeah, I wouldn't get my hopes up on this.
Like pointed out above, things don't make sense.

Besides that, most know that Orange Adolf isn't as rich as he claims,
And he is Putin's puppet. You can only get iron-clad proof of those 2 things and his cult will still claim "fake news".

The most likely outcome of the leak is more transparency in a gender pay gap in the entertainment profession. Which was the outcome of the Sony hack.

Any actual data released is likely to have a similar fallout to the Panama papers: one or two career casualties, but not much actual results.

"one or two career casualties"

Is that what you Deplorables are calling murder now?

Enjoy your Grand Reopening.

Surprised this hasn't made the front page. It's huge news in the legal community right now.

Is there actually news, though, or just speculation? I haven't followed this.

I smell a skunk in the woodpile. This whole story stinks.

As Judge Judy says, "if it doesn't make sense, it's probably not true."

I'm going to go with that.
