Looks like Mitch got the message and hopped on board:

"Mitch, I love you, but this is 100% true. Time is running out. Get tough and move quickly, or it will be too late. The Dems are vicious, but got caught. They MUST pay a big price for what they have done to our Country. Don't let them get away with this!" Trump tweeted over the weekend in reference to the Obama administration.

Big surprise. The GOP is going to try to use Senate hearings to paint the Dems as crooks even though most Americans already understand who the crooks are....and it isn't the Dems. The House needs to open hearings focused on the McConnels, both husband and wife. Those two crooks would get prime time coverage and America would applaud the revelations of their crimes. Most Americans despise them.

Anyone else see this as a sign of extreme desperation?

Trump couldn't get a foreign government to do his corrupt work but no worries, no power in the world is more corrupt than the GOP.

As I said on another thread, the supposed "patriots" who hate big government because it's corrupt will happily vote for this corrupt dumpster fire again.

All because of some unsupported, nebulous assertion that the Democrats are more corrupt.

Oh look, it's Benghazi again...

Amazing! The Senate won't take up extending or expanding benefits to deal with the Trump/GOP Depression, but McTurtle is going to spend time on this nonsense?

Kentucky Voters, please step up and send this piece of excrement packing this November.

As feeble as the Hail Mary attempts to demean Obama and thereby Biden are, in the era of a pandemic they just won't resonate. The more Trump and Republicans bring up Obama, the more the American electorate is reminded of what competent, drama-free governance was before Trump came along.

McConnell can waste all the time he wants. Americans stuck in the middle of a pandemic, with 36,000,000 Americans unemployed (and counting), one could even rightly speculate that even unemployed Joe Six Packs will question why Senate Republicans would be wasting time on anything but keeping America from falling off the cliff, and the death count under a million.

The base has been "conditioned" by 30+yrs of right wing hate radio/tv. There is nothing
that will change their opinion of either liberals or Trump.

They represent over 30% of active voters.

Mitch and his pack of turtles should be careful what they ask for. Nothing derails a senate hearing like witness after witness setting the questioners on fire with scathing, truth-filled opening statements. Review how Joseph Welch blew up Joe McCarthy's career, and expect the same in these hearings. And who gets to play gay lovers Roy Cohn and David Schine?

There is great likelihood that this could boomerang on the GOP, just like the declassification of the Susan Rice email did. However, most people don't follow politics as closely as most here do, and the spectacle of Obama officials testifying in front of the Senate along with Faux Spews lying about what is actually going on will cause some to think there was actually something nefarious. The Obama officials run obviously circles around the Gross Old --------- the way HRC did when she testified for 11 hours.

subpoena Obama

would be the dumbest mistake the GOP will ever make.

DO IT!

I'll do my part! Kentucky did vote out a wacko Trump ally in the governor's office in 2019, so anything is possible. But it's still pretty conservative here, once you leave the cities such as Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green, and parts of N KY across the river from Cincinnati.

It would only be fair for McConnell to take up the investigation of his wife, Elaine Chao, one of the fired IG's was undertaking

McConnell Embraces Subpoena of Obama-Era Officials

For all of you Trump officials, beware of following mean spirited and possibly illegal orders: what goes around comes around.

what goes around comes around? this is the come around from what the Dems have been doing for over 3 years

#18 | Posted by Maverick at 2020-05-22 10:59 AM | Reply

If what goes around comes around, them the people subpoenaed should all refuse to honor them.

#19 | Posted by Gal_Tuesday at 2020-05-22 11:02 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Anybody subpoenaed by the senate should refuse to appear until the the SCOTUS rules on the validity of HOR subpoenas.

If McConnell doesn't lose in November.

The nation is still screwed.

I think there's a higher probability that McConnell will be voted out than Trump.

They'll both be unemployed from the government Jan 20, 2021 at noon, and hopefully both in prison soon after.

He is going to lose.... but for the sake of argument when Trump loses and the (R)tards lose the Senate, Moscow Mitch isn't the majority leader any more. He'll be as useless as a turd floating in Benedict Donald's toilet bowl.
