President Trump is very worried about the safety of Virginia's potato crop. On Tuesday, Trump unveiled a $19 billion coronavirus agricultural aid package that's aimed at covering farmers' price losses of 5 percent or more.

"You'll have nobody guarding your potatoes," Trump finished.

If you don't watch the, they escape.

Now when the cops want to shoot a n----- they'll just plant a potato on him.

Has there ever been a case of Potato poachers in Virginia having to be gunned down to keep them out of the potato patch?

Seems the poachers would be easy to catch without shooting them. Try running away with a shovel in one hand, and 20 lbs bag of purloined potatoes over your shoulder.

Would a potato patch security guard need an AK or an AR to bring one down?

Also, it would be illegal to use deadly force to protect a few dollars worth of potatoes. (Unless the pigs do it.)

Maybe he's talking about potato guns?

I don'the know, all the pieces are there, they'll figure it out.

His supporters will nod in agreement with stupid stuff like this.

But then turn around and say Joe Biden is mentally failing.

It's really quite amazing to watch.

Wasn't there a story here recently about farmers in Idaho having to destroy one billion pounds of potatoes? Because the restaurants were mostly closed.

#7 | Posted by danni at 2020-05-20 02:01 PM | Reply

Be careful about them potaters.

They've got eyes everywhere.

#8: Really? That's the best you came up with? I will not dignify that with a funny flag.

Also, was Trump channeling Dethspud when he made the comment? Because that moniker never made any sense to me until just now.

side effects of hydroxychloroquine????

Just asking.

Of course, anything Trump does is a short trip to crazy.

Which is why it was a mistake for Dem voters to choose a candidate who displays even a slight modicum of dementia. By doing so, they've opened the door to a shameless "bothsidesing" of one of Trump's core weaknesses - his mental capacity for office.

I am NOT saying the two candidates are equal in this regard. I'm saying the right will shamelessly claim they are, no, claim Biden is worse - and some people will be dumb enough to fall for it. And it didn't have to be this way.

If it wasn't that it would be something else.

#12 | Posted by Twinpac at 2020-05-20 03:46 PM | Reply

"Something else," by definition, means it is not a deflection from Trump's core weakness (his mental instability), and therefore is less effective or important.

JOE

Not necessarily. But if you want to ask me a questions, don't answer it for me at the same time.

Ask me what I mean by "something else" and I'll try to elaborate although it's pretty self explanatory that Trump will do, say or lie about any filthy rotten thing that enters his mind as long as it helps him get re-elected.

#14 | Posted by Twinpac at 2020-05-20 05:01 PM | Reply

My point was that yes, of course Trump will attack his opponent for anything. Just that Dems didn't have to make it so easy for him to deflect from his core flaw by nominating someone with questionable mental acuity.

JOE

First of all I don't agree with your premise that Joe Biden has "questionable mental acuity." although it was very clever of you to slide it in there like it's a foregone conclusion. How very broad brush of you. I play chess with a man older than Joe Biden and he's sharp as a tack.

But I understand where you're coming from. Age does take it's toll. We'll all be there some day.

I'm going to put my faith in a man, much like Barack Obama, who can staff his administration with a reliable chain of command and who has the ambassadorial skills to restore the world's faith in America.

It's going to be the hardest job any president has ever taken upon himself and it will probably take more years than Joe Biden has left to give. I don't intend to add to that burden by expecting miracles. I do, however, trust that his presidency will set the first of many paving stone on the road to America's recovery.

Trump's "core weakness" is that he is a terrible President who cannot unite the country, but instead divides it further.

So, you are somewhat right. It is very good we have someone like Biden who provides a stark contrast, instead of someone who would not be easily differentiated from Trump in this area, like Sanders.

First of all I don't agree with your premise that Joe Biden has "questionable mental acuity."

Then you aren't very observant and shouldn't be taken seriously.

I play chess with a man older than Joe Biden and he's sharp as a tack.

Is it really your argument that because one old person is sharp that means all of them including Biden are? Get real.

#18 | Posted by JOE at 2020-05-21 10:31 AM | Reply

Trump's "core weakness" is that he is a terrible President who cannot unite the country, but instead divides it further.

No, his core weakness is that he is not mentally fit for office. Everything else you stated stems from that core weakness.

"Just that Dems didn't have to make it so easy for him to deflect from his core flaw by nominating someone with questionable mental acuity."

So, out of the choices we had who would you have preferred? Bernie? Like he wouldn't attack Bernie's age, mannerism and SOCIALISM OMG! Elizabeth Warren aka Pocahontas? He's a bully and will attack anyone and make them have to fight back.

#20 | Posted by danni at 2020-05-21 10:42 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 2

#20 There were about ten other candidates running, and i'd argue that virtually every single one of them was less susceptible to an attack on mental acuity than Biden.

#21 | Posted by JOE at 2020-05-21 11:01 AM | Reply

Well in Trumps defense, he would shoot you if you tried to take one of his fries.

#22 | Posted by bored at 2020-05-21 11:02 AM | Reply

JOE

Would you make the same assumption about age related "questionable mental acuity" if Bernie Sanders was the nominee?

#23 | Posted by Twinpac at 2020-05-21 11:54 AM | Reply

#23 No, because I've watched all of the candidates speak off the cuff and only one of them doesn't seem to be able to think and speak as swiftly on his feet as he used to.

I'm voting for Biden btw, i just find it really tiresome when Dems won't own up to any of his flaws as a candidate.

"I've watched all of the candidates speak off the cuff and only one of them doesn't seem to be able to think and speak as swiftly on his feet as he used to."

Really? ~~ Is that your top criteria for picking a candidate?

#25 | Posted by Twinpac at 2020-05-21 02:28 PM | Reply

Who said it was my top criteria? You're moving the goalposts as usual. I said it opens the door for Trump to deflect from his core flaw.

#26 | Posted by JOE at 2020-05-22 10:08 AM | Reply

Why can't Dems be honest about Joe Biden? You don't have to pretend he's perfect.

#27 | Posted by JOE at 2020-05-22 10:08 AM | Reply

So now we're looking out for potatoes?

Don't they have their own eyes?

#28 | Posted by TrueBlue at 2020-05-22 10:13 AM | Reply

FTFY:

No, his core weakness is that he is not mentally or morally fit for office. Everything else you stated stems from that core weakness.

I'm starting to remember why I usually don't engage you. You're not even making sense anymore.

Shhhh!

We know he is not perfect perfect. We cannot let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Joe is not only good enough but by golly people like him!

So he actually is perfect!

Also. Democrats. Don't mess this one up!

It's a big ---- deal.
