The Environmental Protection Agency has weakened regulations dealing with fuel efficiency and mercury emissions and has waived enforcement on a range of public health and environmental mandates, saying industries could have trouble complying with them during the coronavirus pandemic.

Republicans have for years been like magicians, showing the shiny object of abortion and guns in one hand while with the other raping the U.S. Treasury and undermine public safety policies their corporate overlords object to in the name of the almighty dollar.

BTW, the same Republicans who've gleefully passed trillions in unneeded/deficit creating tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy are now talking about how we can't afford more stimulus to keep our economy from falling off the cliff.
