Birx dissembles without answering the question.

There's a shock.

Give it a week and they will start reporting fractional lives lost. Then they can claim only 10,000 life spans were lost.

She's towing a fine line. Shill for Trump and lose her reputation or get sidelined because she's speaking factually from a purely medical perspective.

This was troubling:

What?! Any other president would have given the CDC the lead and everything they need to fight the pandemic. The world's most respected authority on infectious disease. Not Trump, who's made everything about his image and reelection chances.

Let's also not forget that the cuts Trump made to the CDC resulted in CDC personnel no longer being embedded in China.

Too many old farts clinging to old ideas clinging to long past prime careers who are stifling younger, more vigorous scientists with newer, better ideas.

BTW we need more Chris Wallace type journalists in the world.

Chris Wallace is my favorite journalist. There's not a shred of partisanship in any of his work. Well done.

I recorded Fox News Sunday and watched it last night.

You could almost see the wheels turning in Birx's mind as she was figuring out how to answer pointed questions without setting off a Trump tweet storm and losing her position with the WH.

Well technically wee, but I think it's cute to go with oui just for the French dig. It's just my personal thing.
