Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, May 27, 2020

A woman recently filmed herself being denied entry to a Gelson's Market in Dana Point for refusing to wear a mask. She uploaded the video to Facebook, but after it went viral on multiple platforms, she appears to have scrubbed her social media presence from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube. In the video, the woman in question self-identifies as Shelley Lewis, stating that she is at the Dana Point Gelson's location. The video begins with an attendant outside the store refusing her entry and stating that Gelson's does not allow any customer or employee inside the store without a mask. Lewis asks to speak to a manager, telling him that, "I have a medical condition that I'm not allowed to wear a mask and I'm not required by HIPAA rules and regulations to disclose that."

Her profile from a Flat Earther conference... Shelley Lewis

How does someone like what we witnessed in the video make it to West Point? She used to parachute and doesn't believe the earth is round? WOW...

"You're infringing on my rights" - LOL! What a Karen!

I guess she doesn't think stores can't require you to wear shirts and shoes either for health reasons.

There are medical conditions that prevent people from being able to safely wear masks.

And she's correct that HIPAA does not require her to divulge that fact or what the condition is (though, to be fair, it's not actually HIPAA that protects her from having to disclose that)

There is, however, no accepted medical condition that requires her to shop at that Gelson's.
