Republican State Legislators in Pa. hide Covid 19 Positive tests of Repub Lawmakers from Fellow Democratic legislators, while they hold the most House in-person meetings than any other State Legislative bodies.

Representative Brian Sims unloads on 'em. The most epic rant ever!

Ugh. More rage politics for clicks.

Did they quarantine immediately? Did they not quarantine after exposure? Did the isolate everybody who was exposed to the positive individuals?

If the answers are yes then this guy needs to relax and stop playing stupid rage games.

Sure sounds like the answers to all your questions above were no.

Not according to the other thread.

We have a Washington Post article that seems clear they immediately isolated after a) testing positive or b) being told they were exposed to a recently tested positive individual.

Then we have this guy who's just politicking like a typical member of the YouTube generation-yelling into a camera set way too close to his face.

I'll take the Washington Post info and wait for confirmation or contradiction from a third source before giving too much credence to Rage Man here.

How would they isolate everyone exposed to him if they didn't tell those exposed to him that he was infected?

Also you are contagious before you test positive. So...quarantine after a positive test doesn't help those you may have already exposed, does it?

YOU are playing games here.

It happens all the time. You think a person who's isolated by public health officials is told exactly who they were exposed to? Hell no.

All the would tell them is there is reasonable suspicion that they were exposed and that they recommend they self isolate for 14 days in case they're infected.

It's as simple as that.

*sigh* I love lay people who get all uppity and try to explain to a virologist how this stuff works.

Contact tracing is how you deal with folks who may have been infected during the asymptomatic period.

I'm not playing games. If the response was a rigorous response that followed public health guidelines then there's nothing to be outraged about here.

JPW, why do you suppose the Positive test results were shared only with Republican Legislators?

Is important distribution of health information a bipartisan responsibility?

Seems like refusing to notify Dem members is acting in bad faith. Do you agree?

Were his only contacts Republican legislators?

Were members who are Republicans but not exposed to him notified?

Was releasing the info more broadly the thing that should have been Done? Yes.

Had you bothered to read the article you'd have an answer for your question.
He did inform those that were exposed to him. He release his personal medical information to those who weren't exposed and are now whining about not being informed even though not exposed.
"After feeling ill May 16, he said he self-isolated, tested positive on May 20 then and informed health officials as well as a few people who might have been around him when he was last at the Capitol on May 14."
