So I guess it is ok for Dem senators to support suppression of 2nd Amendment rights if Rep senators are ok with the suppression of 1st amendment rights?

... in order for President Donald Trump to pose with a Bible in front of a church ...

Since when has the Bible become a mere prop in a photo?

Did you watch the manner in which Pres Trump handled and posed with the Bible?

Why did he seem to think he needed to make it so obvious that it was the Bible he was handling?

The GOP in the Senate are all disgusting, spineless, POS. When Obama lightly criticized Dotard's COVID response, McTurtle said he should have kept his mouth shut. After yesterday's stunt pulled by Dotard, trampling over the rights of peaceful protesters, now McChinless won't criticize others. I'm pitching in $50 for Amy McGrath every month until election day! McConnell is the cancer in America's rectum the sooner he is excised, the sooner we will heal!

It was like he had never held a book in his life.

Or at least never held a Bible before. In fact, if you look at some of the pictures from the event, he's staring at the Bible as if he'd never even seen one before. And when asked if it was HIS Bible, he appeared to be at a loss for words until he finally mumbled something about it being "a Bible."

They had to use a fake bible because the real one kept burning his hands.

Remember all the 'blah blah blah' about the 'rule of law' and the Constitution when Obama was president?

So I guess it is ok for Dem senators to support suppression of 2nd Amendment rights if Rep senators are ok with the suppression of 1st amendment rights?

Well, Libs have been doing it for years. Only status quo for the Cons to start doing it too so they can be just like them, since both parties are no different from each other.

Man, the GOP must REALLY like them some judges. Of course, how many of those judges turn into David Souter acolytes and imitators is hard to determine...

When it'a an appeal to law abiding Christians. In this case, Trump's voter base.

I do recall that Clinton did the same during the Mona Lewinsky scandal.

Agreed. It's always been a prop IMHO. Not too many people that aspire too and reach the Presidency are law abiding good Christians. In recent memory - maybe Jimmy Carter?

Using tear gas on peaceful protests?

I don't remember the Tea Party getting a round of tear gas. I don't remember the fully armed gun rights protesters getting a round of tear gas.

I say the BLM start showing up with a full arsenal. Republicans have to be okay with it.

Where are the con counter protestors? There aren't any because there would be so few right? I mean look at the COVID protests in Michigan last month. A couple hundred showed up and they all claim to be mad. There are a lot of mad liberals not showing up for these protests too but unfortunately all the looters are showing up.

again showing that the GOP doesn't believe in the Constitution
of the United States of America... If you hate the rules so bad,
why don't you just leave, and go inflict your CRAP on some other
region of the world... Like, I don't know, some Evil Austin Powers
Island or something...

Hahaha every time repubs do something indefensible, it's somehow dems fault for MAKING them do it?

Now whine about iraq being DEMS fault because they didn't stop the republican administration from providing intentionally false intelligence and invading.
