The clearing of protesters from Layfayette Square-with horses, not less- was so damned imperial. It is frightening to think what President Xerxes....er, Trump will do with four more years.

So should people resign to make the admin better? So far the admin gets worse every day.

An aside here: religious people are loving Trump with Bible charade.

If it turns out that the po-po didn't use tear gas and were in fact responding to rocks being thrown, would that change anyone's mind? It's unusual for po-po to use tear gas without gas masks and unlikely for the SS to allow president in the area immediately afterward, don't you think?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Nuf said.

And then we have a law called Posse Comitatus.

"
"Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both."

The President is acting completely illegally, whether Trumpers or our nation media want to notice or not.

Most recent and easiest BS justification for the cops... "Someone threw something at us..". They don't even have to prove it. They just have to say it and they're free to run roughshod over anyone they wish.

Damn fascists.

Speaking of "imperial", does this remind you of anything?

This is how Trump wants to treat protestors, unless of course they're carrying AR-15's, wearing MAGA hats and standing inside of a state's capital building yelling at security personnel because that state's governor is trying protect people from contracting a deadly virus. Then it's OK because they're just exercising their 1st and well as their 2nd Amendment rights.

The U.S. Park Police have weighed in on what happened, and they made two things clear: 1. They did not use tear gas. 2. What they did do had nothing to do with the president coming through the park, which they didn't even know about:

U.S. Park Police reportedly say protesters near the White House were pushed back by riot police on Monday evening because they were attacking police officers, not because of a visit by President Trump to a nearby church that had been set alight the night before.

Trump visited St. John's Episcopal Church, which had been attacked by vandals on Sunday, moments after he addressed the nation and promised to restore "law and order" amid the protests and riots that have engulfed the country in the wake the death of George Floyd. But as he did so, protesters were being pushed back by riot police near Lafayette Square who charged the crowds and used what was reported as being tear gas to disperse them.

--------. The President is going to be there in 5 minutes and no one told them? If that is true someone needs to be fired.

"Policing language, quoting the constitution and Posse Comitatus like a sovereign citizen."

I'll never claim to be a "sovereign citizen because I would never associate myself with the human scum who describe themselves that way.
In stead I describe myself as a citizen of the United States of America. Apparently, you don't think that is a valid or good identity.
I don't need or want any other identity.
That is who I am, who I will always be, who I owe my allegiance to.
I feel sorry for you. Your personality got warped. I'm sorry, gut I didn't cause it. Psychological help is available to those willing to accept it. I doubt that includes you.
