Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The rest of the NBA season is set to be played at Florida's Disney World Resort from 31 July. The season was suspended on March 11 because of coronavirus measures. Thirteen Western Conference teams and nine Eastern Conference teams will contest eight games each to determine seedings for the play-offs. Eight other teams won't return at all because they weren't going to make the postseason anyway: Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Golden State, Minnesota and the New York Knicks. That has gotta hurt.

If the resort isn't opened to the public anyway, I could see how this plan might work if the NBA is using the resort such that the teams and perhaps their families remain in relative isolation.

My girlfriend is obsessed with the Oklahoma City Thunder and with Disney World.
