The scenes have been disturbingly familiar to CIA analysts accustomed to monitoring scenes of societal unraveling abroad -- the massing of protesters, the ensuing crackdowns and the awkwardly staged displays of strength by a leader determined to project authority.

In my mind what makes members of the GOP cling so tightly to Trump is their fear that if in power the Dems use such tactics on them...

It turns out that Trump's admiration and praise for dictators like Putin and Erdogan is a feature, not a bug.

Thanks for that post Gal, I didn't know that about him before. Explains much about him, have to wonder why Hillary Clinton didn't use that information against him in 2016, I would publicize the hell out of it today and every day until the election.
